I can see the charm and the reason why lots of love Rosebank Tavern. Rosebank Tavern has an overall outstanding vibe and a cool crowd that hangs there. Every single thing that we purchased was extremely fresh and flavorful. The workers are really attentive and nice and they're very good at giving recommendations. Rosebank Tavern - This is a hidden gem.

On Friday night, after living in the area for 3 years we finally got around to trying the Rosebank Tavern for dinner. We had tried to stop by a month or so earlier, but it was closed for a private gathering. I called a day or two before to see if it was kid friendly and they were super nice on the phone and encouraged us to stop by. The Rosebank from the exterior is not the kind of place you would expect to be a top-notch dining experience. It's dark, has musical instruments and neon alcohol signs in the window. The overall feel to the interior is dark wood paneled with a beautiful bar and lots of space for patrons to gather. In the back-dining area, the motif continues. We were greeted by the bartender who immediately gave our 3-year-old the princess treatment. He went out of his way to make her chocolate milk (I made some just in case, but left it on the kitchen counter), were incredibly engaging ad did all the right things when a family comes with a toddler. Brought her food out first, offered her crayons and refills on the chocolate milk. She absolutely loved the experience and was so comfortable in the setting I had to stop her from walking behind the bar twice. To me that speaks volumes about the people and staff in an establishment. The owners were also present and were outgoing, introduced themselves and made us feel so welcome. As far as the food goes, I have to say that this place is doing itself a severe disservice by not promoting itself as an eatery as much as a bar. The back area was nice but they could use a few more tables out front and maybe a little more lighting for an early hour crowd. The Food: Frist off the meats at Rosebank are from Pat LaFrieda so you know you're in for a good meal with quality meat. I ordered the "Apple" which is a thick sliced slab of bacon with an apple slaw with blue cheese and walnuts which was out of this world! It doesn't look like it will fill you up from the pictures, but it does! Cooked to perfection and a nice balance with the slaw the meal was filling and had an excellent flavor profile that complimented one another perfectly. The Mrs. Had the Lamb burger special which I had to taste, and it was delicious! It came with feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, and a side salad. The little one, as usually got chicken fingers and fries (can't wait for her palette to expand). The menu is not what you would expect from a bar, they are taking chances and so far in our eyes incredibly successful with what they're making. We left wanting to kick ourselves for not going sooner. Overall, if you're visiting the Island, looking for a few drinks or an incredible meal this place is to go. We had 3 entrees, a mozzarella stick appetizer, 2 beers, 2 vodka sodas, chocolate milk, and the tab came to $68.00 before tip.

I LOVE this place! Matt and Linda behind the bar are the powerhouse duo. They make all of their customers feel right at home.

So I've been here a few times. Usually crowded Fridays and Saturdays. Karaoke on Fridays but everytime I attempt to request a song, "they're not taking anymore requests." After several weeks of this I gave up asking. This past Friday, I was in the mood for a cocktail. So I asked for a dirty martini... both bartenders looked confused and needed to consult each other. Several minutes later, there was nothing dirty about it. Next I ordered a cosmopolitan, again several minutes later, it was just ok. It seems like a very "clicky" crowd. If you're not from the area, it may be just a tad awkward. Prices are fair.

Even on a crowded night the bar tenders got to everyone super quick. Unbeatable service from people who care. Highly recommend

Just moved to the area and this has become our local bar. The moment we walked in we felt at home. The staff is awesome (especially Matt and Linda) and the changing specials have not disappointed. (The pork tacos a few weeks back were uh-mazing).

Couldn't hear the World Series. Horrible live beatnik band droning on and on in back room.
