High tea anyone? Robinson's Tea Room in Scenic Stony Brook was such a lively place to visit and a beautiful drive outside of the city. The place is small, but so cute! With their arrays of mis matched tea sets, and Alice in Wonderland pictures on the wall, you cant help but just love the place as soon as you come in.Their tea list is quite extensive. With some trusted familiars to some bold and exotic. So go ahead and pick blindly! But if not feeling so bold, their staff is quite knowledgable on all the varieries.Let's talk Food... I must say my friends and I were very happy with our spread! A variety of finger sandwiches and per tradition of course, scones, quiche, pastries and cakes, and a delicious vegetable pie we were definitely in for a treat! Needless to say we did not eat it all in one seating but it made for a great snack for the drive back to the city.If you are looking to not partake with the High tea experience, they do have a menu you can select from for a light lunch!Beautiful town and would visit again!

Today, after Crazy Beans told to choose any table to sit at, I was rudely, abruptly, and unpleasantly told to move tables by an employee of Robinson's Tea Room. She told me she needed the table for reservations and I had to move. The only table available was in the bright, direct, sunlight and I was with my 11 month old son. I explained the situation, she displayed zero compassion, and told me (again) that I had to move.I moved as to not cause issues and watched as Robinson's Tea Room did not sit any patrons at that table for 30 minutes (we finished eating in about 15).Thank you Robinson's Tea Room, for hiring such discourteous and impertinent employees. During an unprecedented time, in which we should all be kind to one another and make a point of supporting small, local, businesses, you have helped narrow down our choices of businesses to patronize. We enjoyed our delicious food from Crazy Beans (even in the direct sunlight) and would've enjoyed it even more so in the shade AND have been done before the other customers arrived.Do yourself a favor and eat next door at Crazy Beans. They have delicious food, wonderfully kind staff, and awesome customer service. Their decor & atmosphere is top-notch. Please...be kind to everyone during this difficult period of time and support your local businesses who deserve to stay open after all the craziness of 2020 is over. Do NOT give your hard-earned money to Robinson's Tea Room.

What a great quiet place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. The hostess and staff were super friendly!

A very special place ..❤️?my friend and I went for lunch.. Queen Victoria greats you at the door with a smile .. pretty , cozy flowery atmosphere. Brie Apple and turkey on tender multi grain bread & Jeannie had quiche with salad .. our tea choices were blueberry vanilla and coconut chocolate. So yummy .. presentation is so appetizing. And lovely staff.. you will be very happy you went

Highkey recommend! The high tea is definitely worth it. The cremebruleee tea is an absolute must. Was not a huge fan of vanilla cupcake unfortunately. The food with the high tea is fantastic and absolutely worth the price. I'll definitely be going back!

Chicken pot pie and beef cheddar pie to die for!! Absolutely loved this cute little place! There were a good amount of people waiting outside before they even opened. This being our first time we didn't think we would need to make a reservation on a week day but we were wrong. The owner Danielle still helped us get a seat even with limited capacity and we had a wonderful time! I recommend this place to anyone for an authentic and homey English Tea time. Make sure to order the pies and chai latte!

Sigh. Always been a fan, but I have to leave this review. Made a reservation for indoors a few weeks ago, despite Covid. My mistake. I figured our numbers are down and they would properly space people inside since it's already such a small restaurant. Not so much. The place was packed and only one table was left empty. We had the option of eating outside but it was a very hot and humid day and I didn't want to deal with bees. Aside from feeling very uncomfortable eating in a small crowded space, the afternoon tea service was a disappointment.Perhaps management has changed again, or they are trying to make up for lost money. But the afternoon tea service was increased to $30 per person with half the food. (There's an $8 sharing fee, no longer mentioned on the menu, if you'd like to split it with another person, but you might be hungry in a few hours) The scones are half the size and nowhere near as delicious as they used to be. Tough to cut through. I always loved it there, but I don't think I'll be going back.

Amazing To Go box! Came in a pink box and my friend upgraded to get the tea. Great idea for 2!!The tea sandwiches are classic and delicious!! The scones, quiches and desserts cooked to perfection!! Only thing we didn't try was the mushroom veggie pie as we hate mushrooms. It looked like a little mini pie.Definitely will go back for seconds!!

I love the food here and the ambiance is so quaint. One of my favorite places to go to for lunch. However, the service unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired.

An amazing Sunday afternoon high tea at Robinson's Tea Room! From the friendly service to the delicious food and teas, this was a perfect way to spend a couple hours with the family. Some of the best scones we've ever had! Highly recommended!

Super cute, I will definitely return. I've had high tea in England and Ireland and it's definitely comparable. You can request all vegetarian by calling the day before and it was all very good.
