I had a long bus trip to New York City and was looking forward to a delicious Thai dish. My friend who has lived in Queens all his life, pointed out Vera Thai on our drive to his apartment. I went inside to order a carryout and was disappointed with the food. Not only were the portions small but the food wasn't tasty at all. My green curry dish was so liquefied with coconut milk that the rice soaked right through it. There were hardly any vegetables in the green curry dish either. The soup that was included with my entree just had a couple pieces of Napa cabbage in it and one scallion piece, quite bland Unfortunately, Vera Thai does not have the delicious exotic taste of other Thai restaurants in NYC.

The food was good but I asked for a drink which it was ok , I ask for a second drink, same drink and they forgot to put in a ingredients, I asked politely if they could put in the ingredient that they forgot, bartender/ server game me an attitude and told me that , it wasn’t missing anything, I told her to taste it , she put in the ingredients that they miss but had an attitude the rest of the day

I only come here when I don't feel like looking for parking in Woodside/Elmhurst, where the Thai food is much better. The food at Vera is hit or miss. The salads($10-15) are a joke and are the laziest I've ever seen... like a child, not a chef make the salads. The roti($8) is chewy and delicious but the smallest I've ever seen served (about the size of my hand). The fried rice($12-15)is tasty. The curry is great. I've had service, both wonderful and horrible. I haven't seen the waitress that seems to hate everyone in the world so I'm not sure if she's still there. The waitress I had last weekend was super friendly.

Dined today. All the comments about the waitresses’ poor attitudes are true. After a few unpleasant interactions, I informed her, her attitude was making me uncomfortable and I won’t be returning. In response, she laughed and smirked. HA funny how she doesn’t care, when they already have poor business..I paid my bill with my card and noticed a 20% tip. The waitress in retaliation, ILLEGALLY charged my credit card a 20% tip without my consent/prior notice. I asked that she refund my card the tip and she denied my request because the restaurant allegedly charges everyone a 20% tip (their “machines are preset” like this). Reported them to the city and state for fraudulent practice. I did not intend on escalating the issue, but the waitress denied me a refund on the tip that illegally charged on my credit card and had the audacity to state that she deserved the tip. She’s a joke. The food is subpar… all the food was either too salty or too sweet.

I love the food and the only reason I don't give it a complete 5 is because I know they can make it even better. Service is good and friendly but once in a while too serious, but is because, I sometimes arrived late and who wouldn't be tired late at night. The only thing I will say is the atmosphere; I believe they need to improve in a few aspects of the decorum so you can have a nice date, then again is a great place to seat and enjoy with friends.

Child size portions at adult prices. The food is good but the sizes are ridiculously small. Not worth the money. I know inflation is a thing but come on... Not coming back to this restaurant and I suggest you pass on it too.

It with great disappointment I write this…I never give bad comments.I wish I had taken pictures….Ordered the crispy noodles from the special menu and I found hair in one of the clams. The lady tried to convince me that it was part of the clam and told me to ask for another order. So….no one goes wrong with pad Thai……right…..wrongThe food tasted and smelled burn. At first I thought it was me so I asked the nice lady and her daughter to taste it only to confirm….The waitress then stated “oh maybe you don’t know Thai food”. Thank you but I actually was in Bangkok last July :)The restaurant is rated “B”…… my mistake

My first time placing delivery from them and the service was really great from the person taking my order and details to the delivery. It was quick and my food was very warm. The delivery person was also very nice. I also dine in there often and the service is always good! They’re very attentive and kind :) !!

I just got delivery for the First time from here and omg! One of the tastiest Thai restaurants I've been to. Newer to the area and so glad I chose this one as my first delivery experience ! They've set the bar high.

Will never Eat here Again!!! Waiter was freaking dirty, touching her nose, ear. hair with bear hands. Look retarded..Asked for the Beer price which was written in menu; 3 for 15$. billed came for 18$, asked why $18, she says it was a promotional price, then again said I have to get 3 beer at once. Had to ask 5 times for hot sause. Food was so bad I almost throwup when it came in the table. Stay away from chicken pad thai, you will votim with its odor. Can clearly say it was a frozen old meat.
Another great place over queens boulevard to enjoy Thai food.Roaming around with my wife we decided to try this cozy place over Queens Boulevard and we did not mistake. The service was great the server was very kind and recommended a few choices that they have in their menu.We decided to try their fried rice and boy it was good. The portion was enough to easy up our hunger and obviously wife want to try their Fried Ice cream!!The setup was nice and the place looked clean. We definitely will go back to try other dishes !!

The food is very good, but the service is non-existent. The women that work here are way too busy to pay attention to who comes in the door. No greeting, no smiles. There is a woman that must be an owner that seems to be in the kitchen cooking. When she does come out into the dining room, she looks like a slob. She doesn’t need to look like a fashionista, I get it, but she just looked so disheveled, and the look on her face was contentious. She seemed annoyed, if you asked her for anything additional, and made a comment to the other woman after I asked for chop sticks. No customer service skills. They are only getting 3 stars because I did enjoy the food, but I hated the service.

Beware of this place! Make sure if you order the pineapple fried rice, to check and see if the raisins are actual raisins. For my dish, unfortunately, it was a cooked up roach...

Came here on a Friday night with a group if 4. Ordered a couple of appetizers and main for each person. Everything was good, my Thai stir fry was a little oily but not complaining. My friend ordered the seafood salad spicy and it came out too spicy so be aware! Drinks are reasonably priced too

So this is how we are treating customers now? This is how I received my Thai ice tea. Yes it came nearly half empty. Talk about being stingy…. If you are gonna pull that kinda stuff just raise the price .50 to a $1.Never ordering from here again and the food was mediocre at best#respectfully
