This is my new favorite grab and go place! Perfect for someone who works in downtown. It's a small spot which might be difficult to find but the doorman there is always helpful! I love that they have Mexican flavors in their menu and are vegetarian/vegan friendly. My staple from this place is their cardamom granola(strongly recommend) or chorizo breakfast sandwich. I came here while searching for new breakfast places. I never pass up a chance to feel smug, so seeing it hidden in an office building downtown made me feel like I was in on something. For my first two trips I tried the Chorizo breakfast sandwich with pepper relish, and the corned beef hash, both with egg and cheese. Finally got to try DayBird and only wish I had sooner! This cute little shop is inside a larger building and because I get nervous about parking downtown, I just called my order in ahead of time, parked out front, went in and grabbed my food. It worked out perfectly. I had the chili braised short rib sandwich with poblano and corn chowder, with a side of chipotle-lime pasta salad.
