Delicious! I moved recently to Syracuse, and I've been here twice, once with my husband (who is a Syracuse native) and with my family who was visiting from out of town. Both times, my family and I got the rice bowls with different types of proteins. This is like Chipotle for Mediterranean food. It's quick, reliable and tastes decent. The quality of meat and ingredients is also good. However it lacks the complexity of flavor of authentic shawarma, falafel, etc. It's pretty good in a pinch and adds some variety to the offerings in Marshall St. I'll likely be back for a quick bite.
I was walking through the university area and looking for some good fresh food. I ducked into Mr Falafel and wandered over to the small ordering area. When I ordered up some chicken shawarma and rice the guy behind the counter saw that the rice was getting old and went to the back to get me the good stuff. This impressed me.
