“Loved this local bagel spot. Everything was fresh and delicious. The workers...very short tempered, and rude. The woman taking the orders had to ask another worker what i was asking for. Her first language was Spanish. None of the workers were personable nor welcoming. The owner should give them all customer service training!“

“So happy that we stumbled on this place on our day trip to Montauk! Very cozy and inviting, and the staff was super friendly. The Dosa is super good and HUGE perfect to split with someone unless you are very hungry. Also tried the cardamom coffee and it was excellent. Cilantro chutney was my favorite but all the chutneys were great, be sure to add one to your order.

“One of our go to spots for a casual relaxed time with excellent food and service and quiet enough to be able to hear friends across the table. The special halibut entree was excellent and very lightly prepared over greens, mushrooms and cauliflower puree. One friend had a salmon rice bowl and another a strip steak and fries. Something for everyone. Firecracker shrimp always a favorite to share and the profiterole is a must.“

“Our first time at Commander Cody’s. We had the fried oysters, baked clams, shrimp cocktail, cole slaw, mac-n-cheese and cheesecake. My partner is in hospitality and i am a big foodie. The food was enriched with culture and you felt the soul, being a hoppa- I respect that. It was incredible and left me wanting to come back one more time before we head go back to Brooklyn. “Definitely an “off night” I'm sorry to say. First time ever in all these years. Tuna appetizer was tasteless & warm. Sent it back. That was a first. Ordered wings instead. They came 5 minutes after ours in dishes. Sauce was diluted & flavor was off. Steak Fajita main was off as well. Guac was thin & tasteless, steak was raw & sour cream was missing. Going to just say it was an off night. Hope this is not a new pattern. Time will tell.“

“Amazing location, amazing venue staff us was impeccable however food options for lunch as the restaurant is on an island to have more of a seafood selection versus hamburgers steaks also the portion sizes portion size could be increased slightly for the lunch menu.“

It sounds as if reading some of the reviews there was a woman working here who was really quite rude. Fortunately, we did not see her at all. We were greeted by a wonderful server who was sweet and funny and kind and helpful and had the most excellent smile! (See photos).
This is our annual trip up to visit the vineyards with some friends who have a family home here. We are two couples who have known one another for decades. My partner and my friend’s partner had to work, so it was just the two of us, set loose for the day. Of the four of us, the two who were working are the responsible, well-behaved ones, and me and my friend (who never get to go out on our own) are a bit less disciplined. So we were sent out to get meat and cheese, and Instead, we went to a winery. We explained this to the person serving us, and he was good, natured and sweet and even took photos of us “not at a winery.”

The wine was good. I especially liked some of their sweeter wines, although I’m not typically a sweet wine fan. The reds were not my favorites, but I’m a California -cab born and raised type of gal, so…
