have had better Indian food...chicken was tough....was suppose to be chicken malai kebab which is beautifully marinated so it is tender and succulent...this was far from it. Ver disappointed

Chic setting. Great food. We loved the garlic naan the most. Pumpkin kofta curry was good too but maybe a little bit less of cardamon would have made it perfect. Service was decent. Street parking as well as very close municipal parking came in handy

I came here on last Sunday around 8:15 PM with a party of 4. Called ahead to see if it was alright, see how they closed at 9:30, and was courteous. I want to say before anything, there were other workers who were very nice, asked us if we were okay. The food was very delicious and prepared fresh and properly made. I genuinely just think this waiter was kind of mean, maybe they had a tough day- maybe they wanted to leave extra early who knows but: The service was was pretty poor. The waiter seemed to be frustrated with us for some reason, perhaps because we had dietary restrictions (One of us was vegan, all of us was vegetarian, and one of us had a peanut allergy.) But we were very clear from the beginning, and politely asked about the dishes we were ordering. It is an Indian fusion type restaurant, and we figured it was the best cuisine to accommodate these restrictions. It also quite clearly states on their menu that things can be made vegan. We're not sure why the waiter was upset with us when we asked certain questions, but we were very polite the whole time. When we asked if a dish we were being served had peanuts (so that we could have the person who was allergic to peanuts NOT eat it) he snapped at us and said, "You only said...NO EGGS!" and we kind of just said, "Uhh...we were just asking..." and he said, "No..." in a very irritated tone. I saw him roll his eyes and shake his head as he walked away a few times. Gratuity was included in the bill. Which is odd for four people IMO. But we mostly wouldn't have tipped as high if it wasn't, or at least spoke up if they weren't closing in 15 minutes. Probably not coming to dine here again. Takeout hard maybe because the food was yum.

The food - A The price- C+/B- The portions - C+ The service - F The food here is phenomenal. Can be a little spicy but very flavorful. However, the service was so atrocious that I don't know if I would eat here again. Never been to a restaurant that charges a service charge for 4 people either. They probably know their waiter would have gotten 0 dollars for the tip if they didn't do that.

The food here was outstanding. The mulligatawny soup was the best we had ever had; in fact, my husband said it was the best SOUP he ever had! The more traditional dishes were really delicious. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, chicken vindaloo, and chicken biryani. The only dish that was missing something was the tandoori salmon. It was cooked well, but a little fishy. I put some of the saag sauce on it, which worked very well. The garlic naan was puffy perfection. The service could use some improvement. Our server was very nice, but he didn’t always understand what we were asking for. The owner, Sam, spent a lot of time talking to us about his passion for cooking, and they were kind enough to bring my son some cake for his birthday. We will definitely be back!

Service staff could not understand the Indian menu, Kulchas were good , however we ordered Paneer, onion and Gobi Kulchas and got only onion and 2 gobi, which they tried to pass one as paneer, Reshami Malai kebab dry and hard, Paneer in spinach was rubber, and then the last straw was when they tried to pass a gulab jamun as vanilla ice cream with the chocolate cake..and then to top everything they added a service charge of 18%....only place that have no confidence in their service do so....on the whole a very bad experience...

When one asks waiter for some hot water to dilute the tea and they bring a pot with 2 ounces of water in it, one has to wonder! But the food is always delicious, and the management will cater to any food preferences you request.

We showed up at 6.00 pm on a Friday. We were greeted promptly and given menus. Then.... nothing!!! After attracting attention, we ordered two appetizers and one main dish and a naan. More than adequate for two. The food was tasty, the naan superb, and like all Indian restaurants outside Manhattan, you get rice with the entrees. Now the other stuff: the menu has lyrical descriptions for the food, so it takes describing. Some absurdities are calamari Punjabi style: absurd because Punjab is landlocked in central north India and the average Punjabi may not have heard of octopus. A”lassani Gobi ” was tasty but nowhere near what one finds elsewhere: it was near raw cauliflower in a mostly sweet coating. The entree was excellent Of note, the restaurant was full by the time we were done, but I was the only Indian there!! Also, a half Hour after we arrived, the owner ( I presume) arrived, and suddenly service picked up. He stopped at every table to chat. Also, the wait staff were some form of ethnic (not Indian) who were almost intelligible, a problem when they were the only ones there! Summary: food good service iffy but don’t have high expectations

While the food was tasty, the overall experience was so poor that I don't know if I would return. We waited tens of minutes (20-30???) for: orders to be taken, for: food to arrive, for: plates to be cleared and bill to come. We were there, in total, for 2 1/2 hours because the service was so slow and bad. We were told that new staff was working that night but, still, that should not excuse the terrible service.

We were introduced to Coriander Modern a few weeks back and have since been back three times. The food is outstanding, and service was terrific as well. They have a sister restaurant in White Plains, and yes, we ate there and the food and service are equal. We believe this is one of the best all-around Indian restaurant in Westchester.

The food was outstanding but the service was really bad. Too few waiters for a Sat evening. Our appetizers were cold when they finally came but they were very accommodating to bring us warm ones. It was very hard to hear- tables were too close. Even the waiters could not hear us. It was a shame because each bite of food was so flavorful and delicious. Bravo to the chef. Please hire more waiters!

We visited on a quiet night so ambience not easy to score. Service could've been faster given the amount of diners but the food was great and well priced. As Brits we're used to great curry so getting 4 stars is a good indication that we'll be coming back.

Distinctive menu for when you're looking for something beyond same-old tikka masala and samosas (although they excel in the classics, too). We were most impressed by their seasonal offerings and locally-sourced ingredients. Highly recommended!

Distinct, flavorful, perfectly seasoned and creatively prepared Indian food. Decor cool and relaxed, made that much more charming and comfortable by Shawn and the staff's always attentive service. Have eaten in many Indian restaurants around Westchester, in NYC, even in London, and would say Coriander always holds up, and may be one of the best I've had the pleasure of dining in.
