There is no place like this , with the freshest of food , exceptional choices every day , and caring owners and servers who all make the experience like old times … people that care about the quality of the food and care about their clients !!!!

I waited in line for 45 minutes, I have been a customer for over 15 years. I was the next customer to be waited on. The time was 12:30PM. Anthony, the owner said “next in line”as he looked at me and proceeded to tell everyone that its Saturday and they were not going to make anymore sandwiches with the exception of the first 2 on the menu and the hot bar. ( usually I order 2 sandwiches off the menu). This is the 2nd time that this has happened to me. There were 6 customers behind me. Although their food is very good it’s frustrating when I drive 45 minutes and then wait in line for another 45 minutes to walk away empty handed.
Anthony, you should put a sign on the door when you decide to do something like this at last minute and at least allow the customers in the store who have been waiting to make their purchases. If you decide to just run a catering business then just close the Deli and be done with it. People understand, but you need to be fair.
Amazing sandwiches, staff made really helpful suggestions when building a sandwich
Excellent sandwiches. Some of the staff made the ordering process complicated. Love my Italian subs!
A++ Sandwich
Easily one of my favorite delis in Westchester. Absolutely great!!
Horrible parking.
Hands down best Deli. I recommend to everyone i know.try you will never be disappointed
As other reviews have said, they have great food but it's a terrible experience trying to get it. Staff intentionally ignores customers and act like they have a problem with even taking an order. You could forgive the rudeness if it was even possible to order online or over the phone. It doesn't help that it's just slow moving all-around, and the store and parking lot turn into a mess with people waiting.

I’ve been shopping at Dante for over three years now. The owner (male) is so friendly. We always chat about Italy and my kids. He always makes the effort to speak in Italian to me although he’s not native. On the other side, I find the lady with dark hair to always be quite rude. Despite being from Italy, she always answered me in English. Today, I was having a conversation with the owner, Anthony, who was slicing cold cuts for another customer. He looked at me and we started talking about life and I asked him if they have spicy soppressata. The lady with dark hair intervened telling me to go on the other line. I told her I was on the other mozzarella line and I didn’t need any sandwiches (the store had two separate lines). She told me “you would have gotten away with this in Italy, not here with me”. She was so rude to me that i told her I will NEVER go back to that store. I would rather drive for 25 minutes rather than seeing this lady. What a terrible customer experience. I wanted to share in a hope that that this rude lady improves in future although my hopes are very little.

Great sandwiches soured by horrible people. In 2024 AD I called within their sandwich-making hours (god knows what happens if you make a panini after 3pm) to order lunch. It took three calls to get a person, who snapped that they don't take orders over the phone (completely contradicting everything on their website, google updates, and reviews). The woman who answered slammed the phone down as I was mid-sentence asking if I could please order in person instead.
I get there and the door sign is turned to "closed." It's 2pm on a Friday, the lights are on, two people are in line. Everyone seems friendly but you could cut the tension in the air with a butter knife. Behind the counter a woman with glasses is sniping at the staff and a customer who had been cheerfully talking with another employee about making pizza that weekend. She manages to scare that customer out of the store. Bingo, found the lady who can't figure out how to translate a phone order into meat between bread. I wait for her to stomp off before ordering and getting the heck out of there. It's quiet as the grave otherwise: no music, no talking, nothing.
The sandwiches were excellent but the relentless hostility upset my stomach too much to enjoy them much. I'm an NYC Italian, I'm used to family arguments and tense people, but I was also raised to be polite and friendly to strangers--and lose the attitude when they're around. Showing that basic respect to your *paying customers* costs nothing and buys endless goodwill. I really want to try this place again, but not until they at least figure out phone orders. I sure don't want to be hanging around there for any longer than I have to.

I was just in Dante for the first time today. The owners wife made me a letter B sandwich. It was out of this world and y'all should definitely stop by. Great staff and wonderful atmosphere.
