Food is pretty good, especially for the price. Definitely worth the bang for your buck. Pollo empanada is encased in a corn shell, but the chicken might be ever so slightly overcooked and a bit dry, but it is still good. The Carne empanada is flavorful, has potatoes, just wish there was more meat.

When we went to this restaurant a few weeks ago, it had the name Makondo, not Pantojarse. The environment in Makondo was welcoming and warm, with a mural of los cafeteros that immediately lets you know you're in Colombia. There is a take-away area at the front where you can purchase breads, arepas, and other easily portable foods, in addition to the tables and seating area in the back of the restaurant. We opted to dine-in for breakfast and try a variety of plates: calentado, arepa con chicharron, morcilla, and bunuelos. The calentado transported me back to Medellin and, honestly, it kept me full for the entire day. The morchilla, arepas, and chicharrones were cooked to perfection and we were provided with a variety of sauces to add an extra boost of flavor. Absolutely everything was delicious and the prices are incredibly reasonable when compared with the other breakfast restaurants in the area. The service was very friendly and attentive. Most of the clients spoke Spanish, including us, but we did hear them speaking English with a few tables that morning. This restaurant is a little piece of Colombia in White Plains and brings some much needed diversity (and flavor!) to the regular breakfast scene in this city.

The food was amazing!!! Each one our orders, the Lomo Saltado, the Saltado Mixto and the Bandeja Paisa were so delicious...each meal was huge, we all took half home!!! And great service!!! Will definitely be back when we're in White Plains.

Such a cute place. The food was really good (everything I tried except the beans which had no flavor?). The staff were really nice and helpful. They have fast service as well. I would definitely go again.

It was good until I found a clump of hairs on my steak... wouldn't go back now. Gave 2 stars because I won't lie the food tasted good, before I found the hair....

First time eating Colombian food and I have to say the bandeja Paisa was really really good, the chicharrón was amazing , only thing I didn't like was the rice, it tasted really old like it was left out
