Great tradition of good food, good crowd continues here where TR's stood for decades. The Willistons' is likely to stay for decades, too. A beautiful face lift, mosaic black and white floor tiles, big comfy booths, TVs, good burgers, attentive staff, and service begs the question, "What is there not to love?" Comfort foods abound as do healthy choices like my deliciously juicy roasted chicken. The artichoke spinach dip and crispy chips is fantastic, too. Are you looking for a good meal and to make new friends? Willistons' will surely assist!

Great place for dinner and drinks. Good food and well made drinks. The atmosphere is very nice as well. We will be back for one main reason: Our waitress, Jesse, was the best and most friendly waitress we have ever encountered in a long time. She was #1 on all levels. It is hopeful that the management recognizes that is servers like her that bring them business and reward her. A+ Jesse!

Brought my party of nine here for brunch on a busy pre-Christmas weekend. We were seated downstairs in the bar area. French toast, breakfast tacos, quesadillas and omelettes. All were excellent, service was friendly and professional. Will be going back.

We came here to watch Sunday Night Football which was perfect because they have a 2nd floor with a large screen to project the game. Good place to watch in a large setting. The restaurant/bar is nice and modern with a friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food fell way way flat.1. wings - severely overcooked or I presume they were previously cooked and then recooked/reheated. They were almost inedible. 2. Spinach dip and chips - spinach dip was heavily dense and had almost no cheese. While the chip was crispy, it was too delicate to actually pick up any dip. 3. Buffalo chicken sliders - better than other items that we had but the amount of chicken the slider was a joke.4. Vegetable egg roll - Not good at all. I would avoid as they were small and flavorless.5. French fries - sadly the best thing that we had even though it was the most basic french fry you could ever have. 6. Montauk pitchers - $20 for a pitcher that serves just over 4 beers is a great deal. Had high hopes here but feel pretty flat. I would go back but to just grab a beer.

For sure a shame they took down T.Rs for this place.
We cannot say enough good things about Willistons’. We decided to host our son’s baptism in the private room/bar upstairs. The GM Anthony was AMAZING and super accommodating to our large party of 60 adults and many kids. Our church ceremony ended a little early and Anthony and his staff were ready with drinks and food as soon as we arrived! All the staff worked incredibly hard and were extremely friendly the entire party - everything went seamlessly! Everyone was raving about the food as well and there was plenty to go around for our large party. Thanks again to Anthony and all the staff for a wonderful and unforgettable day!

It was nice. Very nice actually. A local place, trying to figure out their angle. Are they upscale? Are they local? Are they trying to provide an open setting? An intimate setting? It does feel as if they are a little new to running a restaurant. A bit overly eager to please but still stellar service (albiet a bit inexperienced, at least it server , there was another that seemed to be on point on our floor). They have 2 floors. The place is a bit narrow. Looks like a bar with a second floor party room covered to a restaurant. How they redid the place really is nice however.Food seemed a bit safe to me. Generally Americana with a very limited menu. They do have some attempts of modern fusion appetizers but honestly I don't trust them enough to try.We had French onion soup which was nice, Mediterranean salad which was rushed out of the kitchen and sent back just as fast due to missing items. French dip (I love me some French dip) and braised short rib.The soup was whiskey bourbon infused which gave it a nice depth, but a bit salty. Easily correctable I guess they figure the cheese adds saltAs I said the salad was rushed out of the kitchen and it was sad. The second try was exactly what I expected. The French dip has a nice ciabatta style bread, but it was light, not dense at all. Crispy and lightly toasted, it made for a good compliment to French dip. The meat was thinking chopped steak, as if it were a cheese steak. Usually it comes medium rare but this was almost as if... Well it reminded me of steak-ums (which I do like but at home of course when stepping it down a few notches). The au jus was salty. Wondering about the can it was sourced. The dudes were either fries, done sorry of salad (but described as a mixed vegetable) or truffle fries (fries smothered in Parmesan cheese and truffle oil making it soggy and yucky). I chose the fries. There were pretty nice and crisp. Nonetheless, I like French dip and this wasn't bad.The short rib was served on a bed of mash potatoes with sliced zucchini. The sauce was familiar but I couldn't identify it. The meat was certainly reheated. Slightly tough but I can cut it with a fork and knife. It was ok but certainly wasn't made fresh that day. It was pulled before it was ready to pull so that it can be reheated. But it wasn't reheated properly and that is clearly identifiable as it was still a bit tough the mash was good, smooth. I didn't check if it were instant, didn't care. Why zucchini? 4 slices, all half slices, so technically 2 full slices? Why bother? That was literally 3 cents worth of zucchini!I do feel the staff tries and management really wants to get recognized. Ok sure. What are your strengths? What did comes naturally? This pseudo high end cuisine doesn't fit. You need a gimmick. Don't get me wrong, no clowns on high wire gimmicks. A style that fits. Food that's always fresh and easy. A style of cuisine either not done enough or at all that screams about who you are. Americana is played. People come to this place because it's nice, clean, grown up, a downstairs and upstairs bar. It's LOCAL (to me speaks volumes). They have a lot of events and specials. What about a few signature dishes? Something less common than their regular fare? THAT I believe will result hey me to give them 4 stars on food. Ensure the freshness of the ingredients and early prep? My 5 stars are extremely difficult to get but not impossible. This place can do it. That I am sure.Oh, I will return to try other items. Thank you for your efforts. Everything you do is appreciated!

We celebrated our daughter's rehearsal dinner at Willistons' on October 13th. The experience was amazing from start to finish. The owners made the reservation and food selection process painless (I had special diets to accommodate), and the final booking super easy. The manager, Anthony, was present and attentive to every detail. The food was great and the ambiance was truly awesome. I loved the staff! It was just the perfect setting for the occasion! Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! If you are looking for a place to hold your event, consider this hidden gem in Williston Park. You'll love it as much as we did!

A pleasant surprise after reading the previous reviews. The new manager is quite personable …and seems motivated to improve on previous issues. Service was prompt and friendly- Fish & Chips and Chicken sandwiches are great. I hope they’ll offer their fries separately - along with the sautéed potatoes they only serve with steaks: yum!! Hint: Upstairs is quieter - we had a family group that wanted to catch up- so it was perfect.
I usually never give five stars for
