Ordered takeout. This place seems to have gone downhill. Ten years ago it was awesome. They forgot the salads in our order. Something wasn’t closed correctly and liquid saturated the bag and my floor mat. Everything tasted a little watered down or bland.

We love sushi and have been coming here to dine at the sushi bar for years. It was our #1 go to place for a night out and we always ordered the same thing. About 2 months ago they prepared my roll wrong AND way too much sauce on top, the sushimi had also changed. We heard the sushi staff was new but came back two more times after that to see if it was just a bad night. After tonight's dinner we will not be returning to A1 Japan for sushi.

We went this evening for my son’s birthday and the service was horrible starting with the cook, while I was having the soup he was already serving the rice and piling the rest of the food one on top of the other. It was a horrible experience. They forgot to do the birthday entertaining and we had to remind them it’s a birthday ocasion which it the was the very first thing I mentioned over the phone when making the reservation. The other worst part of it was they over charged.

Would tell you the food is decent but i wouldn’t know. Sat there 25 minutes without anyone even coming to get our drink order. On a wednesday night with two other tables in the area we were sat in. Waitress wiped off the table (left it wet) and walked away without another word said. Two teen boys sat by their station talking, two ladies at the host station doing whatever. Not sure why we weren’t served but i’m highly disappointed. It was my birthday so thank you for ruining my night.

It was good. The server was good but he couldn't understand me whatsoever, charged for an extra drink we didn't have, and it took twice for me to get a to go drink. The chairs were super close together. Portions weren't as big when it came to the chicken. I enjoyed it but wish for the price I wasn't sitting on top of someone.

We love the hibachi and the sushi here. We often get sushi carry out and I would say it's in our top 3 sushi places. The quality is very good here. Occasionally we do hibachi as well and that's very good. Tons of food. I personally am a fan of the red snapper for hibachi. Very good fish. I could do without the birthday drum thing but it's their own flare.
