kinda slipping lately - food is slow to come out of the kitchen, and no staff, I mean no staff when we left the restaurant. Does not have that local friendly feel anymore where they are glad to see you and make sure, while you are there, that everything is good....hope it comes back!

Fantastic Italian restaurant! It was interesting that they make most of their pasta noodles themselves. We started with the arancini di riso appetizer which was absolutely delicious. One family member had tagliatelle bolognese and he devoured it in no time and almost licked the bowl. Another member had the gluten free tagliatelle bolognese and she said it was great. Gnocchi was the choice of another member and she really loved it. I had bucatini amatriciana which was unbelievably good. Then for dessert we shared the tiramisu and vanilla crème brûlée. Oh my, they were fantastic! Our favorite was the tiramisu, but both were excellent. I had a contratto sour to drink which was very good. I have never had one before so I can’t say how authentic it was, but I enjoyed it. The host was very friendly and took us to our table right away. The server was amazing. She knew the products very well and was able to tell us what each product was. She also never let our water glasses run dry! Even though she had a handful of tables, it felt as though we were her only customer. The manager talked to us several times as well as every other table in the restaurant. We didn’t have any problems but I’m sure she would have taken of them. Everyone in the restaraunt was very friendly and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place!Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free pasta and was very good.

Nice evening at Forno, a sure-bet for home made pasta, and well-prepared Italian fares. Great service, the staff makes you feel welcomed, and was taking good care of our party of 6.

Vegetarian options: Light on vegetarian options off the menu. Staff is helpful in finding options.

As Italians, we tend to be very picky when going to Italian restaurants. From start to finish, the food at this restaurant was exquisite and authentic. I wanted to kiss the chef after the meal. If you don’t like the food, then you’re the problem.

We have been going to Forno for years and this is my first review on Google. We had a reservation for four at 7:15pm on a Saturday night at a high top in the bar area, and arrived exactly on time. Like every other time we have gone, our table was still occupied by other guests when we arrived. And if you have ever been, you know that the place is small and there is absolutely no room in the foyer to wait. After getting two emails and a text reminding me of our reservation, it is frustrating that we still had to wait 16 minutes for our table while the bartender completely ignored that we were standing right by the bar and didn't ask if we would like a drink. I had to be more assertive than I normally would to get his attention to get us some wine. When we were seated, it took a good 15 minutes before that same bartender came over to acknowledge us.After that, the evening went smoothly. Our server Liz was great. We started with the Tonne e Fagioli. It has been on there menu for forever, and is a unique presentation of yellow fin tuna on beans. It does have a fennel note, which I love, but it is not for everyone. And I wish the beans were cooked just a teensy bit more. The artichoke soup was very good, but came to our table cold. I wanted to send it back to get heated, but my wife didn't want to complain. The house made focaccia was excellent, as were all of the bruschetta options. For our mains, two of us ordered pizza. The Salsiccia E Cipolla (sausage, caramelized onion, mozzarella) was loved by my friend, and the Elena (black truffle, gorgonzola, mozzarella and arugula) was also liked, but we thought it needed a generous drizzle of EVOO over the top and didn't have much truffle flavor at all. The Atlantic Cod dish was wonderful, and the Pork Chop Milanese was huge and cooked perfectly. The cauliflower on top was fantastic. If Forno could just up their service game more and pay attention to the little details (like hot soup), I would give it 5 stars for a casual Italian place.

Food is very consistent in taste. This is for the finer and quality Palette. The GM is attentive and follows up with a call concerning your experience.

My reservation request was ignored to the point of intention. Everything I had requested was not fulfilled and the opposite experience was delivered. Sad because the food was great and our server, Mark, was outstanding!

We ordered a pizza, it was fine. Definitely not worth the price. The server also upsold us on the bread (we thought it’d be free) and said it’d be great with our order of meatballs and sauce….there were about two spoonfuls of sauce, not even close to enough to split bread among 6. This place is fine. Cool atmosphere but not worth the high prices.

This experience was disappointing, as we usually have a 5-star experience at this establishment. However, during our recent visit, we sat at the pizza bar with a clear view of the kitchen and observed some concerning practices. We noticed that none of the kitchen staff were wearing gloves, including the individual handling the pizza dough and the same person cutting the pizza after touching his face/forehead while sweating. Additionally, a young man brought ingredients from the kitchen without wearing gloves and handed them directly to the pizza maker (we sat at the pizza bar with a clear view of the pizza maker). These hygiene lapses were concerning and detracted from our overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Also we asked for straws for our water and yesthe server brought straws with no wrapper with her bare hands.

I truly believe we would have had a better experience if we had a different initial server and we had sat somewhere less busy. Our first server (the bartender) was rather indifferent to our needs and made a comment of "everyone got sat at once". I understand that serving multiple tables with no break in-between seatings is a challenge, but a good server keeps that to themselves and finds a way to overcome it. Our second server who might've been on break or just clocked in was more attentive and pleasant.Secondly, I would not recommend requesting to sit at one of the high tops. The two two-tops by the door are very close to a high traffic area and are not relaxing or nice to sit at.Our food was pretty good. I had the garganelli and mushrooms and my wife had the spaghetti arrabbitta. In the end, I would probably give it another chance given the lessons we learned. However, it might be takeout instead of dining in.
