Vero Pizza Napoletana

Closed my eyes and sent me back to Naples. High quality San Marzano, Buffalo Mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, chewy light crust. Neapolitan pizza meant to be eaten fork & knife (no slices) like the people of Naples 🇮🇹

There are plenty of other nearby options for crispy crust, ny/Ohio style, etc … if that’s what you prefer. This is not that!

This is the real deal Neapolitan style pizza. The crust is perfect and each topping combo is so delicious- margherita, salumi,sausage. You really can’t go wrong. Caesar salad is very well done. They also have a great selection of spritzes and cocktails perfect for summer. Bonus- after their expansion, there is a much better wait time (but it was worth it even with a line). Check it out!

This place is a fixture in Cleveland Heights and we had wanted to visit for years. Sadly, it was a bit of a let down. Pizza could have been much crispier for a wood-fired pie although it was still quite delicious to be fair. Cannoli (pictured, since there are no others in the gallery) was decent but I’ve had better. I didn’t like the fact you had to cut the pie yourself. I could understand that from some super cheap or struggling hole in the wall you get takeout pizza from, but at a place like this?? Seriously? You can’t have your cooks just slice it really quick once they pull it out of the oven???
Our server was wonderful, though. That made up for some other shortcomings.
I’d be willing to give them one more shot but not for a while.

A few days ago I went to this restaurant, the pizza was delicious and the waiter was friendly, but upon entering we ran into the person who greets you and takes you to the table who literally looked us up and down and in such a rude way that my family and I thought everything was reserved and we asked him do we need a reservation? even though the place was practically empty, and the person who greeted us at the door with a dirty look asked us do we have reservations? and we didn't, and he said to us like well come here with a terrible attitude, I think they should improve that because you go out to eat as a family to have a good time and we really felt uncomfortable, so I wanted to leave the place, it was my first time and it was very good but I wouldn't go again, I wouldn't want to go through that experience again.

Wow! One of a kind Cleveland pizza experience. The crust is soft, chewy and delicious. The sauce and flavors remind me of Italy on a summer day. The cantaloupe with prosciutto was sprinkled with salt and basil and was delightful. Caesar salad was sprinkled with bread crumbs giving it a nice crunch with a great homemade dressing. I will be making Vero a staple in my pizza rotation.

Enjoyed a beer and maybe 2 pizzas. Tim was a true professional behind the bar and greatly enhanced my experience. Personally my favorite pizza in the city.
