My husband read the glowing reviews and decided to give this place a try. We ordered the 'pork' banh mi, and Vietnamese coffee. Now, we were pretty spoiled in our previous city because we lived right near the Little Saigon neighborhood and had an incredible local bakery, and I know the Midwest is not known for its ethnic cuisine... But it takes a very special level of bad for me to spit food out immediately. I almost didn't even try the sandwich, because upon inspection the protein was gray and looked like it came from a tube because it had the dimples in it. But I did try it, and boy do I regret it. The texture and taste of whatever that sauce was, was gritty and tasted more like ranch than anything that would belong on a banh mi. The iced Vietnamese coffee was still quite warm, and it just tasted of drip coffee and creamer, not espresso and condensed milk. Giving one extra star because the pastry we had was baked well and tasty, but that still feels generous.

The owner was very nice and the food was delicious. The food is made fresh so you'll be to be patient but it is so worth it. I got the sandwich combo. The coffee was a delicious treat and the bahn mi was very good. I will definitely be back again.

Delicious coffee and Bahn mi. The combo is the best value. Everything is made fresh as you wait.

Was craving a Vietnamese iced coffee and this placed seem like a nearby option. I stopped in and quickly noticed the Covid fear here is high (to each their own), with tables and chairs stacked like a barricade to stop anyone from sitting to eat and Plexiglass nearly to the ceiling along the counter as well as small tables labeled for take out orders. There was one older, very small woman way back in the kitchen and despite having a door chime notifying her of a customer, it took her about 3 minutes to realize I was there. She asked if I was there for pick up, which I wasn't, and seemed confused why I was in there. I explained I wanted to order an iced coffee on the spot which took her a few seconds but then she came back with a small bucket of ice. She asked if I wanted the coffee strong or regular and then proceeded to make it. I have no idea what she was doing behind the tall counter piled up with various machines but she came back with an iced coffee for $3.50. I wished the flavor of the coffee was on par with the better ones I've had but it simply tasted like a standard cup of coffee with cream on ice. Being that their namesake also suggested Baguettes, I was hoping for a pastry or anything along those lines but didn't see anything close to a baguette or otherwise in sight. Feel free to explore the menu for wider offerings and actual food but my minimal time there didn't inspire much reason to return.

First time take out . Not bad at all . If it wasn’t so sweet I prolly go there all the time . I can taste the sugar in every spoon taste . Flavor is very refreshing though . I would go again in person next time .** I changed 3 to now 4 stars - the summer roll did it for me . Was pretty good. Better than other places in cbus.

The food is amazing! We tried the chicken pho and combination beef pho and added a pork sandwich. Outstanding all around. Huge portions so there are always enough for a 2nd meal. We've learned to not add all the jalapeños to the pho for personal preference but it allows you to control the heat level. We loved our selections so much, we haven't tried anything else but have been back 4 time over the last 2 months when we discovered this delicious spot. The owner is so friendly and kind. You can tell these dishes are made from the heart. It's carry out only right now. I'd recommend this place 100x over!

I like this place a lot, because their prices are cheaper than most Vietnamese places I’ve seen around this city so far. As of right now she’s only accepting take-out. The lady/owner here is so kind! My boyfriend said she made him feel welcome/ comfortable. His card accidentally declined once and he said she didn’t look at him weird or have any negative reactions to the situation. I’m stating this because my boyfriend is black and rarely feels welcome in most places. I’m glad to have found this restaurant and I’m proud to support it.

Outstanding experience - went in for a Vietnamese Coffee and happened to grab some food out of curiosity...really glad we did! Honestly blown away, totally exceeded any expectations I had. Saigon coffee was phenomenal, super deep & rich flavor and the perfect level of sweet from the condensed milk. Tried the meatball sandwich with a spring roll and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of the best sandwiches I've had, might be in my Top 10. We'll be back to try more, no doubt.

Very familial atmosphere. One of the best—and biggest—banh mi sandwiches I’ve had in a long time (sautéed chicken with lemongrass). Shrimp summer rolls were beautifully made, too.I had to wait a bit, but I also went off-hours (between lunch and dinner), and the food was cooked and assembled just for my order. Will definitely return and recommend.

We got the pork terrine baguette, as well as the Vietnamese coffee (cold) and Thai tea (cold). it’s carry-out only right now, but the location is so cute! and the staff is very kind, helpful and pleasant :-) the pork terrine was well seasoned with delicious toppings, and the bread was fresh and wonderful! the Vietnamese coffee was some of the best i’ve ever had, and the tea was excellent as well. we want to try more menu items so we will surely be back. thank you!
