I got the Kiwi Classic and loved it. I'm confident you couldn't go wrong with any menu selection here! Located within the charming 2nd Street Market, this was an amazing find while on vacation in Dayton!

Was passing through Dayton for bussiness. Stopped by the Farmers Market to kill some time. Passed by the Cheeky Meat Pies booth and Riley was putting some in the oven. I stopped back by a little later, just as they were coming out. AWESOME! If you looked up "comfort food" in an illustrated dictionary... there would be a picture of Riley's meat pies. Just wish I could have figured out how to get some on the plane and back to Oklahoma.

Have not been open on June 4 and June 11, 2022. A shame since it's why I come to 2nd street markets. Will update once this improves.Edit: the website says their hours are 9-1 Saturday, which seems... pessimistic. But lesson learned.Edit squared: He said to check Facebook for open times .

I have no clue why these negative reviews have been posted, but these pies are amazing and the people working for them are very kind.Don't listen to the negative reviews, this is an awesome little food stall.

Best meat pies in town! If you haven’t tried them, they are definitely worth the stop!

I wish I had seen the review from Jeff below. I saw the Cheeky stand and thought I'd surprise the wife with some Tandoor Chook pies like she used to love years ago. They were not like years ago. It was hard to describe -- just off. Spiced differently and not in a good way. If you're going to buy the business, you'd think you'd get the recipes too. Just really strange and not what we were expecting. I still gave 2 stars because they are edible.

Great pies! My wife and I drove 45 minutes to pick up our order and enjoyed a couple of hot ones while we shopped the Market. Soft flaky crust, delicious filing. I had the Kiwi Classic and she had the Naughty Bird, both were excellent!

The meat pies are delicious

Ordered some frozen pies but lost the heating instructions. They were quick to reply and the pies were just as good as I remembered from the market! Thanks for still being there for us during COVID!

This is really late from our visit, I think it was a year ago or so, but we thought about coming again today and I remembered how disappointed that visit compared to 5 or 6 years ago when we went fairly regularly.I think we had 3 or 4 pies our last visit and they were honestly downright terrible. I forget the name of the ground beef and gravy pie but it was ridiculously bad. There was one giant clump of ground beef, basically flavorless, with a tiny bit of gravy on the outside wrapped in puff pastry. All the pies were less flavorful, didn't stay closed as well, and the fillings were just wrong. The puff pastry was the only thing that seemed about the same as it used to be. The fillings should be a thick gravy-like consistency. I remember cheese and gravy is a great blend before but, at this point, you're better off with Boomerang brand from the frozen foods section.Again, this review is really late, but my hope is that when this business gets back in swing they try to get back to the old recipes and quality they had when this place was a real treat for my family. I saw another review saying kind of the same thing so I assume it hasn't changed.I lived in Australia for a couple years and this used to be a kind of a nostalgic comfort food for me. Now I just miss the old Cheeky Meat Pies too!

Good to see old friends back selling at the market. Can’t go wrong with a pie from a Cheeky Meats.
