Food is really good, value is reasonable and our service was fantastic. Overall a really pleasant experience both times we have gone. We will go back again.

We got seated and served quickly. Server was new and didnt know scotches or bourbons. they worked it out. Menu was conservative and needs pizzazz to match the marketing expectation. Bunns has a storied history. Everything was good. we got spinach avacado dip with nice fresh chips, the reuben had chipped meat not juicy thin slices. It was edible but forgettable. My wife had a salad with chicken. She liked it. We eat out and like establishments to step up. We felt it needs to get an edge back but it met our needs while visiting Delawares monthly Friday event.

The bathroom was also gross, I've been to cleaner bathrooms at truck stops. The food was way overpriced and mostly inedible. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like congealed lumps of garlic, I could only take one bite. The grilled cheese tasted like the oil they used on the flat top grill was rancid. The open face turkey sandwich was also a congealed mess. The fries were super generic foodservice quality. It also took over an hour for our food to arrive even though there were literally 9 people in the entire restaurant including my wife and I. Definitely won't be back! It's sad when a once great restaurant that was a community staple goes downhill. Maybe someone that knows how to run a restaurant will take over soon.

The food was good, but we waited nearly an hour before we got our food and there was maybe 15 people there. The waitress was nice but she barely ever came over to us, and she only gave us half of our fries and never gave us the rest, and it took another 30+ minutes to get our check. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Disappointed bourbonburger order medrare came out as burnt shoe rubber, Mr. Ordered fish and chips fat fries came out warm....not HOT ...LIKEit was sitting waiting on burnt burger...the bill 44.00 for inferior food and service...waitress disappeared ..for 15-20 min..so Noone o floor to take it back...SD she got 14 party she needed to cater for!!! SAD this used to be real nice place in delaware..40 minutes to be grossly disappointed!!!

One of the worst experiences I've had in a while. I usually dont posr reviews or wven complain about restaurants or food, but here we go.They didnt have items that were listed on the menus, was advised by the server not to order certain menu items such as coleslaw.My 5 year old son went to drink the water and said mommy it taste bad, it tasted like chemicals were in all of waters. The rolls came, stale, cold and dried out.The food came, the butter noodles were so overcooked they were like mush, the turkey was such a thick piece and was dried out and cold, mashed potatoes tasted like they were reheated.Was so dissapoited in the amount we paid, to turn around and feed everyone when i got home.

One of the guys in our party ordered a Reuben sandwich and no kidding one half of the sandwich had maybe one small slice of corned beef on it. He complained to waitress and manager and especially the manager seemed to care less. Waitresses finally brought out a few slices of cold corned beef to put on his sandwich which was of no help. No offers to make it right. Also two of us had burgers and wasn’t asked how we wanted them and they came back well, well done. Won’t be going back!
Great experience! Great food! Great staff! They need more staff. They handle it very well. I and my lady love this restaurant! We have been there 3times in a row. Definitely going back!

I have over 19 million google contributor views, mostly restaurant reviews. Unfortunately this is a one of two negative reviews I’ve given . I’m a native of Delaware Ohio. I remember when the Hoffman‘s own buns when it was a prestigious restaurant to eat at. Sadly, I had a very bad experience at Buns’s restaurant today. First of all the table was sticky on the top… wow I have no idea how to remedy that except replace the tables. First of all the waitress listed five different things on the menu that they did not have. One of the items was the stuffed flounder ….thats what I was going to order. Ended up ordering a fish sandwich. Ordered at 12:30 PM at 1:15 PM … 45 minutes later a family inquired about our food. The waitress we asked, said she didn’t see any orders in the back. Finally the guys that was seating, people tried to explain what was happening…… “they had run out of the normal fish and had to use a substitute that was much thicker, therefore causing a long cook time.” Long story short at 1:40 … we had been there an hour and 20 minutes we were finally served our fish sandwich. It did not come with the jalapeño poppers or the baked potato I ordered with the sandwich. I looked at deep-fried fish, and it looked overcooked almost black. My wife had ordered the same thing and we both returned our meals. Five minutes later, we decided to leave still had not seen the jalapeño poppers or the baked potato. No one asked if I could be compensated, in any way. Other members in the family had part of their orders still missing… it’s now 1:50 and I’m leaving. I was there earlier in the summer, and it seemed as though they were understaffed. The food was mediocre. Sorry, buns restaurant you might want to take care of keeping items on the menu stocked and keeping the tables clean.
