My recent visit to The Old Bag of Nails Pub in Delaware, Ohio, was a mixed bag of experiences. The pub's atmosphere is undoubtedly charming, with its cozy interior and friendly ambiance.The menu offers a variety of pub classics, and the fish and chips were particularly noteworthy. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on.However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, leading to slow service and some confusion with our orders. It detracted from the overall dining experience.The pub itself could use a bit of sprucing up; it felt a tad dated and in need of some maintenance. With a bit of attention to detail, it could enhance the overall appeal.While The Old Bag of Nails Pub has its charms, there is room for improvement, especially in terms of service and ambiance. It's a decent spot for a casual meal, but I hope to see some positive changes on my next visit.

I went in because I used to go there years ago for their Famous Fish and Chips, so I thought I was going today for nostalgic meal. The fish was soggy the breading was way undercooked, it was terrible. And the waitressing asked me how my food was or anything else about my meal. Don't ever go there no order fish and

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here. We were among the only guests in the restaurant and our food came out as if it had been sitting under the warmer for a long time. My salad was mostly brown and several members of our party who had meat got sick shortly after. Our hostess was very friendly, but the food was not good and the restaurant was dirty including our sticky table. We won’t be returning.

Jon was fast and attentive food was excellent. But is was super awkward sitting at the bar and a child was sitting next to me.... I'm a bartender and I feel like this illegal. Made me and my friends get up and leave. You lost at least a hundred dollar tab....
We had great service! We were there during lunch and the ribeye and cheddar sandwich was delicious.

I gave only 4 stars on the food due to consistency.. most of the time everything is great. Entrees are typically well prepared but some of the sides are a hard pass. I'm looking at you coleslaw.The Reuben never disappoints.Service is always great.A couple years ago, they reduced the menu, removing the ny strip. I understand at the time, supply was rough, but I think it's time to bring back something representing the steak category.Parking: Depending on time of day. There are about 6 spots adjacent, but typically I park about a block away and walk.

Nobody came up to me at the bar to see if I needed anything for around 7 minutes. Several people saw me and ignored me. So I left, figured I'd go somewhere I would actually get served. Couldn't review the food/drinks because I never even got to order.

We’ve been to this location several times, with and without out our miniature dachshund. We have seen other dogs, such as golden retrievers, on the patio. They were not wearing service animal vests. We were here earlier summer 2023 and were able to bring our pet dog on the patio without issue.Today we went to do the same thing and the lady seating us asked, “Is she a service dog?” after she saw her. I replied no, because she isn’t. The employee then said something like. “We can’t allow that.” I then said, “We’ll go elsewhere then,” and left.I don’t mind either way if they allow dogs or not, but this location needs to be consistent about it. I will likely not return to this location because of this employee’s handling of the situation and because of the uncertainty if non-service animal dogs can be on the patio.Otherwise, food has always been good and the outdoor atmosphere is nice.
