Staff was friendly and I don't fault them, but it's a bad location overlooking a sewage treatment plant and a run down area. The food has little to no seasoning, even the items listed as spicy were very bland. Outside seating is decorated with bags of dead yellowjackets and open trashcans of discarded food. The signature lighthouse of the area appears to have had better days as this restaurant surely has as well.

This is my second time, visiting Erie Steak after the first encounter with terrible service, dirty tables, and floor. We were outside this time and the food wasn’t too bad but the prices were ridiculous and the service was very slow(it was not busy). It took us over an hour just to get waited on, ordered,waited for our food and get the check. The wait service had to correct mistakes like drink orders before we finally got the bill, I know they say that they’re closing because of Covid but in my opinion Covid doesn’t make you a bad waiter or waitress and it doesn’t make food taste bad because it’s not prepared right. Covid doesn’t make tables and floors dirty. This was human error, people not caring about their job.

I have been coming here for years every time I come home to Ohio. This place used to be a great place that was bustling with business and had great food. When I came this time, it was like a ghost town, and the food was just okay. Service was not nearly the same as in the past. I had the lake Erie perch dinner, which is the main reason for my visit, and it just wasn't as good as prior visits. Too much heavier breading. It was good but not nearly as good as before. I miss the old Jacalope standards and quality.

I love the food everyone in our party of ten was happy with their dish, excellent Chef, great waiter, only the second time I've been there since it was The Jackalope and I will be back. Drawback the air conditioning needs fixed it was too hot inside the restaurant causing discomfort.

Not busy when we went. Cute place, but the patio had bees everywhere. Service slow, food cold and it was a while before we could get our check. Not busy at all. WON'T GO BACK OR RECOMMEND. My Margarita was awful, no tequlia in it I swear, just the mix. Yuck.

Great patio. Perch sandwich was delicious and filling. The artichoke dip was a little pricey for the amount I received. You could barely taste the artichoke, only warm cream cheese. I will definitely be back to try other menu items as it was my first time here. Their website says closed Sunday but they were in fact open. Call to make sure before you go. They do have a credit card processing fee that was charged on the bill.

Steak and Lobster, steak done perfectly and lobster tails were sweet and delicious. I also had a baked potato and coleslaw. Scenery was so nice, looking at the lake. Service was very good.

The restaurant itself is located up a dirty staircase in a marina building. We walked around the entire building looking for the entrance. The dining room area isn’t nice at all. It looks very old and dusty with no thought to it. Like a cheap diner. The menus are printed on printer paper, all wrinkles and stained. Again, like a cheap diner. The bar area looks like a dive bar. We sat on the enclosed patio. The windows had old cobwebs with dead midges stuck in them. Our table was wobbly and and old pad of paper was shoved under one of the legs. LIKE A CHEAP DINER. The menu had very pricey food on it considering what the place looks like. I expected more sandwiches and burgers. Instead it was high end cuts of steak and sea food dishes. The service was great. Friendly hostess and friendly attentive server. The food came out quickly. I got the short rib pasta bolognese. My husband got the perch dinner. Both meals were really really good. Very impressed with the food. Not at all like a cheap diner. They need to bring the atmosphere and ambiance up to the standards of the food.

The service was very good and the view of the marina from the patio was lovely. Unfortunately, the entry, which included other businesses, was extremely dirty! Floors, windows, walls, and the elevator were so bad we almost left. A friend recommended it, so we stayed to check it out. The restaurant area was better, food was fine, view was nice and the service was very good.
