Good buffet style, been going there for years
Restaurant is beautiful, service was excellent. We ordered the buffet so we could try make different items. Chicken, stuffing, shrimp were definitely the highlight. Everything else was just average but I recommend you try it for yourself. It's worth trying at least once
Too busy not enough help working
We took our grandchildren to eat here and arrived at 645. We had no idea that they closed at 7. They let us order the buffet for ourselves and our grandchildren. We got the kids plates and then ours. The buffet was scraping bottom on most things. Right after I took my first bite of food the waitress let us know how that it was last call for the buffet! That is the only time they let us know they closed at 7. The food was dry and terrible and really non existent on some things. During us checking out which was 720, it was very apparent the manager was in a hurry to get us out of there as she literally ran from the register shouting orders at the staff. We will not be visiting again.
What happened to this place? We came specifically for the Mothers Day menu that was listed on Facebook, and the items posted weren’t even there. The chicken was over cooked, dry and hard. Service was slow. Three of us got the buffet and had a plate of salad and a plate of hot food finished before my daughter in law even got what she ordered , and was not even that busy. Beverage refills were not offered. Just overall has declined in my eyes. Except the decorating. Really nice redo.
We went today and we will not be back. We were seated and waited almost 15 minutes before any server acknowledged us. We ordered the buffet. Started with the salad bar and the lettuce mixture was awful. It was visibly old with red/brown tinged lettuce throughout the entire pan. Other salad bar items were ok, although the macaroni salad was very al dente which is not how you should serve macaroni salad. We went next to the hot buffet and almost every pan on the buffet was empty. I mentioned it and others came up and went back to their seats as they were not filling food in a timely manner. I took a small scoop of mashed potatoes, which were clearly NOT homemade. The gravy was either out of a jar or a packet because it was awful and noticeably also not home made. In a venue where you expect most folks are getting the buffet, you need to Lee on top of it and keep it fresh, hot, and full to accommodate your customers. It was not a good experience at all. Local restaurant critic Dereck Malone was there at the same time we were. I can’t imagine he would give it a favorable review unless he truly is being paid to do so.
Hell No !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful meal, had the buffet, soooo good, met with our Model T club, we all enjoyed ourselves, staff was so friendly ❤️
I have never had a bad meal at the Amish Door restaurant. We love the Buffet with all the fixings. The bakery items are delicious. Prices have gone up all over since Covid. For me it is worth my money to get all you can eat buffet.
The broasted chicken is still a winner. But the prices have really gone up!
