The food was decent, but I opted for a healthier choice at a spot known for indulgent dishes. Perhaps I should have gone for the "heart attack on a plate" for a more satisfying experience. Forget about ordering a spinach and egg white omelet here! You'll be eyeing those gravy-covered plates and thinking about spooning it over your sliced oranges and dry wheat toast instead. I'm awarding them five stars simply because I considered pouring gravy over orange slices.Kid-friendliness: Everyone in the restaurant remained unfazed when my two-year-old grandson made a scene about wanting gravy on his pancakes. There's something shady going on in that gravy!

I feel like the only thing this establishment is lacking to get a flawless classic diner feel is a NO CELL PHONES sign! hahah. Sunday morning brunch has become a ritual now because of Around The Corner. The food is always incredible, inexpensive and generally quick. During the rush in the morning, the food and take time (Understandably, Don't be one of those impatient gimmie gimmie now people that everyone hates and if you don't know anyone like that, it's probably you) it is made up by the plethora of conversation starting decor that inhabits the room. The cross word and word searches are exceptionally entertaining to do with the family while waiting for food, and enjoying your coffee! See you next Sunday!

Today, I took a moment to observe the restaurant and its team. With a history dating back to 1951, it's clear that their commitment to excellence has been key to their longevity.The staff's dedication is unparalleled. Not a single person was idling or glued to a phone. Instead, they were wholly focused on their guests, some of whom they've clearly known for years, ensuring every table was immaculate and ready for the next diner. Their attention to detail, even wiping down chairs and table bases, is a testament to their commitment.The team itself exudes kindness and hospitality, making every visit feel like a reunion with old friends.And then there's the food – simply amazing. Uncomplicated, reasonably priced, and complemented by the most delicious fresh squeezed orange juice.If you haven't experienced Around the Corner, you're missing out. Treat yourself and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Great local diner with great tasting vittles. Really slow service with no explanation other than the kitchen is backed up. Watched tables around me get food that arrived well after me. One of them even had the same order as one of my party.
