This review is about cookies and a not custom cake. I walked into Michelle Handy Cakes to inquire about cookies for my daughter’s birthday. After discussing a few options with the worker, I decided to get soccer balls on half of the cookies and another design on the other half. I pre-paid for my order and agreed upon a time to pick them up. A day and a half later, I received a message from the bakery saying there was an “issue” with my order. I call back the same day but no one answers so I leave a message. I received a call back the NEXT day (the day of my daughter’s birthday). I was told that they can’t do soccer balls designs. Then asked what design I would want instead. What!? It’s the day of my daughter’s birthday, I’ve already planned around the soccer theme. So I felt forced to choose something else so I wouldn’t be stuck without any cookies! When I went to pick them up, there was another woman there (I assume the owner). She said “oh we stopped doing soccer ball designs on cookies over a year ago”. What?! Why didn’t your staff know this. Nothing was offered for my inconvenience (no discount, nothing). Just an overall terrible experience with this business. Not to mention the cookies were terrible.

Mishelle made me the most FABULOUS cake for my 21st birthday! She was so welcoming and wonderful to work with. The cake was complemented all night and everyone loved it! I highly recommend ordering from Mishelle!

Mishelle was so easy to work with and truly made the best cake I have ever had! I met with her one night to go over my vision, and she had plenty of ideas to help boost and mold what I was thinking for the wedding and groom’s cake. The cake’s were truly stunning, but the taste could not be beat! We did a vanilla cake with layered Bavarian creme and raspberry filling for the wedding cake, and a coconut cake and filling for the groom’s cake. I could eat those cakes every day and never get tired of them! She also delivered to the venue with cake stands which helped take more off our plate!
