The first thing you are greeted with is political messaging. The atmosphere of the restaurant was tense. I do not want to see any kind of divisive rhetoric of any kind in a restaurant. The gentleman who approached me was terse. I would give this place another chance.

Hands down the best sushi in the Moore/Norman area
My husband and I tried Moon Sushi today and ordered a San Juniper drink, 2 orders of Steamed Chicken Gyoza, the Large Omakase Chef's special, and the Chef's Special Sashimi. This was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. The quality was outstanding and they even went and asked how spicy we wanted our meal and came back multiple times to make sure we were enjoying the meal. They didn't make us feel bad for not using chopsticks which some restaurants have and when I mentioned I wasn't fond of the yellowtail sashimi on it's own they brought out some ponzu sauce that was homemade that made the rest of the meal enjoyable for me. Overall the meal cost $63 for all we ordered and we were expecting to pay over $100 for sushi since usually to fill us up we need to order a lot, but for the price you pay you get the perfect amount of food which allowed us to give a really nice tip to the server since she went above and beyond on the service. Overall a 10/10 place and my husband and I will surely comeback again.Dietary restrictions: My husband is allergic to mango, and they took his allergies seriously even asking if he needed a completely different set of utensils used for what was being cooked to reduce cross contamination. We've have to tell people about his mango allergy before but never did they go above and beyond to assure that he food would be made safely. 10/10 service and if you have e diety restrictions they will take it seriously.

Been coming here for years. Overall great place I suggest to people coming into town. The sushi is always great. The steamed buns are always phenomenal. Try the steamed buns, there is nowhere in Norman doing them and The Moon does them very well. I sometimes come here just to get the buns.I enjoy that they have ramen and fried rice on the menu because it let's us compromise more if one of us does not want sushi. However, there are some consistent problems we have experienced across multiple visits months apart that are quite annoying when we order something that isn't sushi. The ramen broth was bland both times I got it 3 or 4 months apart. The fried rice was too wet a few weeks ago and had the wrong protein but it took so long to come out compared to the rest of the food we just ate it anyway. I understand ramen and rice isn't their focus but I expect better considering their sushi and steamed buns are so good.Both times we have ordered ramen it came out between 5 and 10 minutes before the rest of the food. Same with the steamed buns. This is a recurrent issue and we awkwardly sit there while the dish gets cold while waiting for the rest of out food. This has happened during art walk while it was packed and during a regular dinner while maybe 75% of the restaurant was filled.I wish there were more rolls without cream cheese. Nearly all have cream cheese. Despite the problems we will continue to come back as long as the sushi and buns remain the same. We will go elsewhere for ramen and fried rice.
