This is the best burger spot in Norman. I'm a burger purist, I like them the old-fashioned way. If that's how you like your burgers too, you won't be disappointed. The service isn't overly friendly and you have to pay with cash, but if you can put up with those two things this place makes for a great lunch stop. Order at the window, eat in your car. Just say "with everything" (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion) and then specify mustard or mayo. Fries and a drink, and you'll be happy as can be.

Good old fashion cheese burger. Fries were ok, nothing spectacular. Hand squeezed cherry limeade was great. Bing cash, no cards.

I wanted to give 5 stars, because there is a man who works there, very very very nice gentleman, but the lady who was there last time kinda ruined it for us. She was borderline rude- made me not want to come back. I have been there SEVERAL times in the last year and have ALWAYS enjoyed their food. Their french fries are kinda plain, but their burgers are amazing!!! The prices are very very good too!!!But I was very disappointed that it was the lady last time. I'll just say that if it was her again, I would cancel my order and wait until the gentleman was back.

Oh Shelby, bless your heart. It's safe to say I'm grateful a few Yelp readers will listen to you so the wait for my meal won't be as long. Sooner Dairy was built and has been run by the same family for well over 50yrs. Their burgers are handmade and like no other in town. The tater-tots are crunchy and until just recently they had the tastiest milkshake around. Unfortunately the ice cream machine finally gave out and may not be replaced due to pending retirement of family members currently working day to day. If you are reading and Sooner Dairy is a place you cherish like we do, you may want to head that way.

Went on a slow day. Smallish group (4 guys). Burgers, fries, and shakes took literally 30 minutes.Place has been open for decades (used to be an A&W if I remember), but every time I try to give it a chance it's the same experience.
