GREAT FOOD & SERVICE!!!so very sad they are closing

We heard that Freddies in Sapulpa is closing down soon. This is a real loss for the surrounding area. Our other favorite in Tulsa was the Silver Flame. That closed several years ago. I wish someone would buy Freddies and keep it going. The food is very good at Freddies.

I wanted to take my friend to a great steak place to celebrate her birthday with a yummy ribeye. We had never been to this restaurant. We like Lebanese hors d'oeuvres so thought we'd try it for a change. Seating was no problem. The waiter was wonderful even though after reading the sign on the door about being short-staffed, he really hustled. We ordered the special, 18 oz ribeyes. My medium rare was more medium well. Hers wasn't bad but both were dry and fairly tasteless. She kept hers and used A1. I traded mine for the filet. It came out medium rare but even that was NOT the quality of meat I'd expect. Both were tough, fairly dry and had more of a sirloin texture. The hors d'oeuvres were also just "meh". Oh well, we'll know better next time. Unfortunately, a little pricey for this under-par experience.

Eaten here for years, a little run down, but with the traffic of everyone who knows about this place I can see it. Best steak in Tulsa hands down. Comes with four or five courses before the amazing steak, hummus and veggies, tabouli, stuffed cabbage rolls, ribs and smoked bologna, salad, THEN dinner, amazing the whole trip. Amazing staff, our waitress has worked there 46 years and still doesn’t miss a step, friendly, knowledgeable, a staple. I’d have photos of the food, but ate it too fast! If you’re in the area, you’ve got to stop!

Holiday parties are ALWAYS a good time. The menu is workable for any event. The staff is always accommodating and goes above and beyond.

The tabouli here tastes good but it is full of large chunks of onion and the parsley has long stems and is not chopped. I keep hoping someone will do a better job.

We absolutely love going here on special occasions! The service is always really good and the steaks cooked to perfection. The staff has always been friendly and do what they can to make your visit enjoyable. It's a Lebanese style Steakhouse and is always a treat for us that hasn't let us down! I highly recommend Freddy's!

My wife and I dined at Freddie's steak house last week. We have been eating at Freddie's for many years. Everyone can have different experiences and expectations about a restaurant depending on what they like or expect. I can't agree with the negative reviews I've seen on here lately, because I personally have never had a bad meal or service at Freddie's. They have been in business a very long time, which is a testament to their business. They do catering and have banquet facilities which are usually booked up for the holiday season. Many businesses have their holiday parties here. I will say that we usually sit in the bar area instead of the general restaurant area. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but worth noting. They do the tabouli, veggie tray with hummus, salad, ribs & bologna even before the meal. Be careful. You can get full before your meal arrives. I love the steaks, but the fried shrimp is exceptional also. They have very experienced cooks and servers. Everyone can have a bad experience and clearly some people have. I never have had anything but good experiences. Come try it for yourself.

Hostess sat people out of order. She was clueless on proper seating. She lied about why she did it to customers. Not a good experience.

While the place definitely feels like it should be remodeled, the food was decent. My barbequed beef was cooked well but the sauce wasn't the greatest. The ribs were pretty tasty. Both of our meals came with slices of barbequed bologna for some reason. I don't understand why anyone would bother. The best bologna in the world is still bologna. For a barbeque and steak joint, their hummus and tabbouleh were surprisingly the best parts of the meal. My Mom loved her baked potato; I liked my crispy steak fries. One word of caution in these strange times, our waiter wasn't wearing a mask, although every other employee I saw had one on.

Tex has the best steaks on the planet. Service is right, food is hot and sizzling. It’s been this way since I remember years ago. Can’t go wrong with this choice. Highly recommended!
