Hello Tulsa! Okay, I was just visiting for work and tried Yelp to locate something new. Located on Hwy 66, Forasteros actually has a pretty cool interior with warm booths and diner style tables. The waitress speaks English and Spanish and explained he Venezuelan part of the menu well. I ordered a Patacon, which is like a giant Gordita or Chalapa with tons of super fresh ingredients. But, get this, instead of corn or flour tortillas, they use bananas (plátanos) and make them into sort of a thick tortilla both on top and on bottom. The Patacon also has a sliced hard boiled egg, a mild white cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and lots of meat. I chose pork which is probably the traditional meat for this dish. Now, I'm a Texan and I like things spicy, but this dish is not spicy, at all. I asked for the hottest sauce and it was mild. So, I did see some bottles of hot sauce, so you can add that. Tulsa... get out to this place ... don't let it slip away.
