I came to try this cafe out, and I was a little bit disappointed.. I ordered a mocha latte (which was rather expensive compared to other local options) and the espresso/coffee tasted under extracted as well as incredibly weak (likely because they used a super automatic espresso machine) but the atmosphere whilst it is really small, is pretty cozy and I did like it.More detail:I can't speak much for *everything* as I only tried a Mocha, but I was extremely disappointed with it.. I walked inside, saw they had a regular commercial grade semi automatic espresso machine, and decided to order a mocha (their prices aren't on the menu itself), but I noticed instead of using the semi auto machine, they used a super automatic espresso machine that automatically grinds the coffee, and steams the milk for you (most of the time not too well) without any required labour from a barista. I should've just changed my mind and asked for a refund right there, because I had a feeling it wasn't going to taste too good and I was right... I've been to plenty of cafes in and out of Canada, and this is one of the fewer cafes that have disappointed me. The cost of my Mocha was $2-3 more than other cafes around the same block, even though there was almost no labour that went into creating the drink (given that the super automatic did everything itself), so I was a bit surprised by the price. Sadly, because of my disappointment with the Mocha, I likely won't be back to try other items to give more reviews.Tips for the business: Please have your prices upfront on the menu itself. I felt a little trapped when I ordered, got my drink and then was given the price and saw it was $2-3 more than cafes on the same street as you. If I had known the price and process of making the drink beforehand, I genuinely would not have ordered from here. And if you're going to use a super automatic espresso machine, (which usually cannot grind the coffee beans fine enough to extract a proper espresso shot) despite having a semi auto machine next to it, unless you're using premium quality coffee beans, the price shouldn't be so high especially considering little to no labour goes into using a super auto, and people like me usually tip on top of that.

Wow - people are so divided!! Little, local, independent coffee bar. How do we judge them? The sign says, "coffee," so I score them on coffee. 5 stars because it's local, small, independent, and the shop owner is sassy. It's not a French bakery, so I'm not judging them by their croissants. It's not a creamery, so I'm not judging them on, of all things, ice cream. It's an independent, local dive coffee shop that thrives on a loving clientele who know what to expect: a cup and some backtalk. This doesn't sit well with some people, apparently, and all you have to do is scroll the reviews to hear their cries and lamentations. Someone complains about the syrup used. Really? If you order syrup in a coffee isn't that pretty much assuming the risk? Some people find the baked goods not quite up to their lofty standards. I mean, ok, but if your thing is flour and sugar, wouldn't a bakery be a more likely destination?Call me simple. A coffee shop that serves hot coffee, 100 feet from the waterfront park, seems like a pretty solid spot to me. I'll say it again: 5 stars for what it is, not what it isn't. ☕Dietary restrictions: Black coffee is keto friendly, low carb friendly, carnivore friendly, and Paleo friendly

Not a very good experience considering the price charged for the coffees, didn't find any special taste . Also the cafe got shut before time (6:30 pm) and were asked to leave. I would suggest to publish daily time for better

We always go to the ice cream place beside them but today they were closed for the season I guess. So we stopped there. Stuff was friendly and prompt. I ordered latte and almond croissant and also nata tart ( they call it Portuguese tart) I specifically asked if it’s fresh, she said yes. It was not nor the almond croissant. The drinks didn’t come with a design on it like it’s advertised in the store. Outside patio looked nice.

Nice location, good customer service, but the coffee is unfortunately produced from an all-in-one fully automatic machine, ends up tasting very bland and much less flavourful than desired. For the same price as a good quality coffee down the street, probably should be trying to meet similar quality.
