Excellent food and service!Their Sit-Down area was closed due to staffing problems. However it was 2PM when we arrived (quiet time) and so they set a table up just for us!We've been going to House of Buddha for almost 50 years! We don't live nearby anymore so visits have been sporadic over the last 20 years.All of the food was hot and delicious just like our many memories!

We ordered takeout from this place, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food, tbh it was some of the worst Chinese I've eaten... On top of that when I called to order I asked if there was a delivery fee and they said no cause the order was over a certain amount. When the delivery driver came he was demanding an extra $15 for delivery as he came across a road that was closed down and have to drive extra cause of it, he refused to give me the food and when I said I wouldn't want it anymore because of the decite he wouldn't leave my property until I paid for the extra delivery, I gave it to him and said fine that's your tip and he got very angry before finally leaving. I will never order from this place again.

Exceptional customer service on new years Eve!After almost 30 years of New Year’s Eve dinners to celebrate my birthday from House of Buddha , we forgot to preorder the day before to ensure an early pick up for my “ special” birthday this year.When they told us 8 pm or later I was disappointed but agreed to that time as this was our fault. I mentioned how we sure messed that up for my birthday this year and showed Lee my special birthday t-shirt. She took my photo with my tshirt smiled and let us know that they would fit my “special” birthday order in for our time slot!! Everything was hot, perfect and ready for pickup. I was thrilled. Thank you so much for this special gesture on my birthday Lee, and house of Buddha, on your busiest night of the year!!

Used to come from acton to get this food. Ordered it tonightChicken fried rice. Absolutely no flavor.General tao. No sticky sauce like all general Tao has. Once again. Absolutely no flavourSizzling beef Singapore style. Absolutely no flavour.4 egg rolls. Egg rolls were ok.The most bland Chinese food I've ever had. I dont typically leave reviews but 60 dollars was alot of money to spend to be thoroughly disappointed.Unfortunately will not purchase ever again. I saw similar complaints but they were dated 2018. I just ignored and ordered.No delivery until 630pm. No problem. Was it worth the wait.Absolutely not.Signed. What happened to house of buddha.... jan 1 2024

Today I am celebrating a “special” birthday. We forgot to order the day before New Year’s Eve to ensure we could get an early pick up time, which was totally my fault.. birthday girl mistake.. so when we went in to place our preorder just after they opened at 2 pm we’re saddened to learn pickup options were for 8 pm or later.
We agreed that was ok as it was my mistake and that I should have known better as this has been our tradition for my birthday for many years. I chuckled and showed them my special birthday tshirt.
Lee who was at the counter then made a way to get us an early pickup!! After a photo was taken of me in my special birthday shirt we were on our way totally blown away by this unexpected kindness! The food was hot and ready and the order perfect when my husband and daughter picked up. Thank you Lee and team at House of Buddha for an exemplary act of customer service on a girls birthday which also happens to be one of there busiest days of the year!!

We ordered take out last night, trying this restaurant for the first time.
Everything was delicious and we filled our bellies.
The only negative was learning that in future we can’t dine in, as they are short staffed and have closed the dining room for the time being.
Worth every penny and we will be ordering again!

We tried House of Buddha Chinese Restaurant for the first time yesterday. We ordered the #3 Combo and Cantonese Chicken Chow Mein Noodles. It was more than enough for the two of us with leftovers. Everything was fresh and hot. Service was excellent and fast. Definitely will be returning!

Great Chinese food with generous quantities. Great value for price. One never knows with Chinese food the quality when first trying . Happy happy happy Ps looks like take out is the only option now. I feel for the very friendly owners.
My favourite Chinese food place in Georgetown. Always had good portions. It could get a bit pricing ordering everything you wanted but it was just as good as leftovers the next day.

They are currently only doing takeout. Overall not bad. I was hoping for more flavour as I found everything a bit bland but I assume they cater to the demographic. Good portion size, food tasted food, good take out service. I'd go again but probably try some different things on the menu.

Literally best Chinese food in Georgetown. We come from Toronto where there’s an endless supply of Chinese cuisine. Their chickens wings so crispy and not overly breaded, 10/10 glad they’re in Georgetown!
