We played in Bruce Peninsula National Park. The location is very good, and the food and accommodation are very good.

We stayed here with our dog a week ago. Most of the reviews on here are about the restaurant and the food so I wasn’t sure how the rooms would be and went in with low expectations. But the inn absolutely exceeded expectations. Our room was big (for 2 adults and a giant dog). It had two queen-size beds, which were super comfy, especially after a looooong hike. The girl who checked us in had a warm vibe. ?As someone else pointed out, the water pressure in the shower was low, but the water was nice and warm, so no complaints. :DThe room was cleaned before our arrival and smelt clean!I liked how pet-friendly they were and our dog had a very comfortable stay too.As for food, we had breakfast and some appetizers at night. The quantity was great and the pancakes + omelette was yum! The appetizers were great too and they serve some of the best fries I’ve had. :DThank you, Bear Tracks Inn for a great stay! It was our first time travelling there, and we will certainly be going back again!

Since we’re now in the neighbourhood, we gave this restaurant a try. Its brunch was an unpretentious affair. My spouse liked the diner-coffee.Noteworthy details: Keep an eye on the local media outlets (Facebook community bulletins). Bear Tracks Restaurant occasionally participates in promotions.

The owners are absolutely wonderful people. The storm had closed the hwy and everything in Ferndale was shut. After contacting the owners they were able to make it back to the inn and opened up for us stranded travelers. The next morning they came back and opened up the restaurant for us. Enjoyed an amazing breakfast and waited for the highway to open. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality.

We ordered two sandwiches and fries, the fries where rock hard and the sandwiches were cold. We waited one hour and there was only three other tables and no takeout, and the waiter was very rude at people at another table. Not going

Good food, good prices, and great service. And, real tea, made right! Try the fish and chips and the vegetable soup. A regular stop on our way to Lion's Head or Tobermory.

Stayed here while I was hiking the bruce trail. Bed was comfortable, towels were thick and nice, water pressure was not great but for a country property it is expected. Room was clean. Restaurant food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. All around this place was outstanding.

It became quite evident in a short period of time that rather than being proactive in maintaining a motel's standards, the owners seemed to put the onus on guests to constantly report problems. This approach is frustrating for visitors, as it creates a feeling of having to constantly point out issues, which is not the experience one hopes for when staying at an establishment. A well maintained and guest centric approach should be a priority for any lodging/facility, and regrettably, this was lacking during our stay.Although two issuse were addressed by staff, others were not reported e.g unclean fridge, ripped pillow case, towels with small holes, coffee/tea cup not cleaned from previous customer resulting in luckily a small spill on computer equipment, unclean coffee maker. (Which we cleaned ourselves to use.) Just not worth the hassle of reporting to overburdened staff e.g. on the first day, a frazzled staff member complained that they were the only ones present at the facility other than the cook and that they were overwhelmed. The lack of attention to cleanliness and the presence of outdated, and in one case a malfunctioning appliance, were clear indications of low standards. It's reasonable to expect that a lodging facility should uphold basic standards of cleanliness and ensure that all amenities are in working order for guests/clients. The presence of these issues demonstrated a lack of commitment to providing a comfortable and up to date experience.Furthermore, it appeared that my experience wasn't an isolated one, as I noticed recurring themes/issues in other negative "Room" reviews...one with an argumentative and defensive reponse from the owner. This very simply highlights a systemic problem with the maintenance and overall quality of the establishment, clearly the responsibility of the owners to resolve.Again, not worth reporting issues as we found them and dealing with staff...not what our stay was for and decided not to let all the 'little' things spoil our hiking retreat.I formerly lived in Bruce County and hope this is not the norm in the area for guests. It's definitely a motel with a separate building for a restaurant, and I don't expect much from motels, however guests should not have to put up with the above.Of course, I'll be certain to avoid this place and advise others to do the same.(This rating is specifically for the motel as the dining experience was acceptable. When I initially checked reviews the dining reviews were good and I should have checked "Room" reviews as well as others.)

Walked in seated after she said table needed to be cleaned. This was at 11:15 she came and got us sat down. Guy came asked about breakfast told can only get bacon and eggs no ham no sausage just bacon said it takes too long to cook?? Sister ordered a blt I ordered a hamburger he poured her a cup of coffee at this time. At 11:50 I’m getting a bit impatient no one came said anything during this time didn’t see the guy who took order. At 12 we see a girl who cleaned table come out of kitchen asked has order been started told yes then we see food come out with ham and eggs sausage and eggs .I waited another 10 minutes got up and walked out my sister stayed as I had enough. This guy said to my sister was busy all day well it wasn’t even half full when we came in. So at 12:15 they bring the food the hamburger had been cut from someone in kitchen from the picture my sister showed me.Why I wouldn’t have accepted that then they made her pay for it and she was a regular never again . Save your money and aggravation go somewhere else.

My husband and I went for dinner, we both ordered burgers (made them deluxe $6.95 for fries and coleslaw).... after 45 mins and NO ONE asking if we wanted anything I went up to ask about our burgers. It took another 10 mins to come out. We had to go up again to ask for mustard and when that was brought to the table, I sent back both the coleslaws and told the server that they were bad. She said I was the second person to tell her that today (OMG why are you serving it)! She said she would only charge for a fry $5.95....halfway home we noticed they charged for the rotten coleslaw also.I understand that they were short staffed but the server in the dinning area was certainly not run off her feet.We will not return - a shame really as we are locals.
