A London institution, the atmosphere takes you back in time. The night we went they were struggling to keep up with service and we felt bad for the server, who was very friendly but also clearly overwhelmed.Service aside, the food was simple but excellent. The schnitzel had a light and crispy coating with tender meat. Excellent tangy sauerkraut and flavourful red cabbage.

We've been going to chaucers for a few years before the Knights game. It has good food and is a quick walk to the arena. It always feels dark and the temperature varies drastically based on where you are in the restaurant. The bathrooms are FREEZING all the time. I feel bad for the servers as there only ever seems to be 1 person on at a time and it gets busy. If you want your bill, I would be prepared to ask for it well in advance because the server WILL be busy. We enjoy it here, you just have to know how to work their system to your needs.

Last night my husband and I went to this restaurant because neither of us had ever been. We made reservations, and were seated with menus, and our drinks orders were taken. We waited over half an hour, and no one came to take our order. People who came in after us were getting their meals. We decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. The waiter then told us that he thought we were only having drinks, which was weird because there were menus on our table. Even if we were just having drinks, he never came back to see how things were or if we wanted another one We decided to go to Waltzing Weasel, where we always get excellent service, and the food is always amazing.

The food is dependable and authentic. The service at and the owner is frequently walking the dining room floor and talking to guests. The wiener schnitzel is our go to dish. You won’t be disappointed.

A very cozy British pub atmosphere with very attentive staff and great comfort food. The place has a bit of an odour likely due to being a carpeted barroom, but otherwise excellent.

Good place for traditional German food. The goulash is very tasty! We had a pleasant experience eating outside on the patio.

After a rocky start…our waitress came by, said she’d come back and didn’t, but another finally took over and all was fine. Went before a concert and the restaurant was packed. Food came out in a timely fashion nice and hot. Appetizers were excellent as was the meal. We would all return. Everything seemed to be homemade. Crab cakes were awesome!
