2 times me and my fiancee have gone to this location been seated quickly and then forgotten about. This last time we sat for 15min without a hello, sorry for the wait or ask for drink orders. I can't comment on food, since I have never been able to order any. Left and went to the other chucks on highbury and was a much better experience.

Terrible Customer Service — Especially from the Manager

My friends and I went to Chuck's Roadhouse (650 Richmond St, London, ON) for a catch-up late lunch, (it was around 4pm-ish) after months of not seeing each other. Sadly, the experience was frustrating and uncomfortable due to how we were treated — especially by someone who turned out to be the manager.

When we arrived, we didn’t notice the “Please wait to be seated” sign and unknowingly sat ourselves. After sitting for a while with no service, I went inside to ask for menus. There was a man standing there with his arms crossed and a very grumpy expression. I politely asked if I could get a menu, and he snapped, “Did you seat yourselves?” in a harsh, angry tone. He continued speaking rudely, not letting me explain that we simply hadn’t seen the sign. Then he dropped the menus on our table without a smile or a single polite word, and walked away.

Later, I asked our server who that person was, and to my shock, she told me he’s the MANAGER. Honestly, if that’s the standard of leadership in the restaurant, it’s no surprise the experience was so poor. He clearly lacks basic customer service skills and professionalism — two things that are essential in the hospitality industry, especially for someone in a management position. Some serious retraining is needed.

It’s a shame because we were just there to enjoy a good meal and some time together. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

My Reviews

We’re regulars at Chuck’s for the service and atmosphere- and the food when it’s good. Problem is it’s very inconsistent. Sometimes quite good - other times pretty terrible. They promote a cheap culture that come across loud and clear, to their detriment.

Very bad customer service.

We visited this place today and were, to put it mildly, shocked by the service.

I ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium rare, but what I received was practically raw. It was so undercooked that I could barely cut through it with the knife. When we brought this to the server’s attention, she took the piece of steak away and came back with a takeout box, saying, “You can take this piece home and cook it yourself,” and that they would give us a discount on it on the bill. I’ve never experienced anything like that in a restaurant before.

To make things worse, the nachos—which were supposed to be a starter—arrived after the main course and were cold. We received all our food at once, including appetizers, and nothing was timed properly.

Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Raw steak and all that was offered was “25% and you can cook it how you like at home”. The servers walked to a security shaking her head, teach your staff how to solve problems without giving attitude. Not a single apology as well
