The food was good and the service was good when we got it. It took 2 hours for the food to arrive. I'm guessing the waitress was alone working all 10 tables plus two birthday parties.
Travel back in time to a German restaurant, great food, good service. The beef Tartar is a must try.

Could be such a gem - but is tired and old. You can make better schnitzel at home and the place is not cheap. (dinner came with unispired roasted potatoes and a pile of (cooked) frozen carrots/green bean/pea combo...I took my Dad for his 90th birthday as a flashback memory dinner but the place has not kept up...

Recently attended an event at marienbad. It started late. The food service was extremely slow. The wait staff was surly and short. It was terribly unorganized.Parking: Parking lot is a city paid lot. No free parking.

I made reservations to go to The Marienbad tonight. Both my wife and I had never been, and were looking forward to it. When we got there, we were seated with the menus and they said the waiter would be right over. He came to the table about 5 minutes later, which was definitely acceptable. We placed our drink orders and got them a short time later, which was fine. After about 15 minutes of us sitting there, he still hadn't come back to see about our orders. We waited for another 15 minutes after that and he still had not returned, or even checked in. So we decided to get up and go. As we were at the bar paying, we mentioned to the bartender that we were leaving because we had been there for a half hour and our waiter did not return. It was then our waiter came up and said he thought we were only ordering drinks. Two things, we had menus out in front of us the whole time, so not sure how he came to that conclusion, and even if we were only having drinks, you would think that he would check back in after a half hour, to see if we would like another.We decided to go to the Waltzing Weasel, where we know we always get good service and food.I will definitely never return here again.

Last night my husband and I went to this restaurant because neither of us had ever been.
We made reservations, and were seated with menus, and our drinks orders were taken.
We waited over half an hour, and no one came to take our order. People who came in after us were getting their meals.
We decided to just pay for our drinks and leave.
The waiter then told us that he thought we were only having drinks, which was weird because there were menus on our table.
Even if we were just having drinks, he never came back to see how things were or if we wanted another one
We decided to go to Waltzing Weasel, where we always get excellent service, and the food is always amazing.
The food is dependable and authentic. The service at and the owner is frequently walking the dining room floor and talking to guests. The wiener schnitzel is our go to dish. You won’t be disappointed.

Been there since 74, lots of beer choices and classic fare like the schnitzel. A little bit of a time capsule in terms of decor, nothing wrong with it but I bet older patrons vibe on it.
