This used to be my favourite place to go to with my family for over 10 years. I moved from Mississauga and came here after a few months. I was so disappointed. Our server was rude, terrible service. He did not ask if we wanted anything to drink, didn’t give us fresh bread, and the two tables behind us got fresh bread. The fries were undercooked, oily and felt raw. He was not warm or kind as a server. We asked for ketchup for the table and he never brought it as well. I used to love this place so much but it seems like a lot has changed.

Had brunch here with a group. We had reservations and we were seated outside. It was a nice outdoor patio, the only thing is there were a lot of bees around (lots of bushes/flowers) so we were constantly swatting them. We ordered the eggs florentine and the apricot benedict, mochaccino, and the creme brulee. All of it was delicious and cooked appropriately, I would definitely recommend this place and come back here again.

Got a male server, tall with short blonde hair who was extremely bad at his job. Really bad attitude , took orders then walked off inside and did nothing, I had to go inside and order at the front table and saw him roam around, then sat down again ask him for forks and he never came back. Also strudel was cold and soggy

It's alright, but no wow factor tbh. It's located in a cute plaza/village with a fountain outside. My friends and I went for coffee and dessert, and the waitor seemed irritated with us for not ordering meals ? Didn't even say goodbye to us when we paid and left ?
The desserts and coffee were so mid. Not horrible, but I'm not eager to go back anytime soon.

Dear Apricot Cafe
This experience happened on Sunday August 25th at 1030am

My husband and I were excited to come to Apricot Tree cafe for Breakfast. I have made a reservation. We have been here before to dine while I was pregnant and both experiences were good, good enough for us to come back a third time.

As we got seated with my 4 month old daughter, the server comes over and directly pours the water jug directly over my daughter which i thought was UNSAFE, what if he accidently spilt water on my wayer or dropped the water jug by accident on her. Secondly he asked us right away what we wanted to drink when he haven't even had a chance to look at the drink menu even though we just sat down...
I believe our server's name is Mario, tall, blonde hair, Caucasian with tattoo's. So he comes back, we order drinks: My husband orders a LOOSE LEAF GREEN TEA and I order a iced coffee. He comes back and gives my husband the WRONG DRINK we had to tell him and he said the bagged and loose green tea are THE SAME, obviously NOT, ONE IS LOOSE LEAF AND THE OTHER IS BAGGED and THERE IS A PRICE DIFFERENCE, so we asked him to chabge it and he came back with the right drink.

Then we order the food. My husband requested the AUSTRIAN breakfast and I order the SCHITZNEL BREAKFAST. He repeats the order and says says what can of bread do you want with your APRICOT BREAKFAST i said NO MY HUSBAND ORDERED AUSTRIAN and he says I know..im like ok fine, and he told me SCHITZNEL BREAKFAST IS NOT AVAILABLE EVEN THOUGH ITS SCHITZNEL FEST (how does that make sense?) So I also order the AUSTRIAN breakfast. (HE DIDNT ASK ME HOW I WANTED MY EGGS OR WHAT KIND OF BREAD I WANTED) mind you the restaurant was not busy at all.

So 15 minutes later our food arrived and IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER AGAIN. The "APRICOT BREAKFAST" showed up on our table and I told the server NO WE BOTH ORDERED AUSTRIAN AND I CORRECTED THE SERVER AND TOLD HIM WE WANT AUSTRIAN. It was extra frustrating because we had our 4 month old baby being fussy so waiting even LONGER for our food that was ORDERED INCORRECTLY AGAIN. So finally food comes out NO APOLOGY FOR MISTAKE #2 and here comes the cherry ontop.

When he comes for the bill and hands it over to my husband. He stands right on top of him, WATCHES AND STARES AS MY HUSBAND IS PUTTING IN HIS PIN AND TIP AMOUNT. I have never seen such TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR FROM A SERVER. Maybe it was his first day but I knew I had enough as he was watching my husband enter in payment in the machine without any privacy. That's really rude and ill mannered on the server's end to just watch my husband enter a 10% tip which is more than he deserved for the DISASTROUS SERVICE.

We won't be coming back. I didn't feel safe or welcomed bringing my baby or enjoyed our experience. It was probably the WORST SERVER I have experienced in a VERY LONG TIME.

I read back in July that the owners have decided to retire and sell the business after 31 long years. This is a rarity in the restaurant business. The long hours and hard work produced a successful restaurant. They must and should be proud of this achievement. I do wish them well and I regret not visiting over the years.

The calamari appetizer was delicious. The crunchy texture was layered by the soft and not chewy calamari. It was very enjoyable.

My steak ? was simply cooked to perfection. It was very well seasoned and it was a high light ? of my dinner. The accompanying risotto and deep fried cauliflower was different but it worked well with the steak. A+++ for this dish.

My wife chose the chicken curry crepe. The level of curry flavour was on point. While people may disparage this dish because it lacks salt. It is still refreshing as many meat proteins tend to fall on the way to salty of the spectrum. So being bland was thoroughly enjoyed here because the curry flavour was prominent and not the salt level.

We also purchased some home made assorted muffins and croissants ? to go along a satisfying cafe latte. Wow they do coffee the right here.

The service was friendly, helpful and courteous. They get 10 stars ? all day long.

Thank you Apricot Tree Cafe for a wonderful and memorable dining experience.

Happy Eats everyone ?

We have been eating at The Apricot Tree at least twice a year, for many years. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and insightful service, many accommodations for food allergies and preferences. Highly recommend.

Dietary restrictions: Very nice gluten-free bread is baked on the premises, and I have never had a bad reaction. Food is individually prepared, so there is no cross-contamination.

Unfortunately the service was not as expected, I have been here a few times, last time the service was appalling, but I thought I would give it another chance but disappointed again. Don't you train your staff. She hardly came to the table, the glass of water does not get refilled, I had to ask for it, she brought in the coffee and handed it to my friend where she could have easily reached to put it on the table, but didn't bother herself, she asked if we wanted any coffee or dessert, we were just discussing what we went, she just left us and walked away without a word. Just generally bad service, you feel unwelcomed, disappointing. The food was ok but not exceptional, I had the Cobb salad, it's mostly greens, 3 small slices of chicken, half an avocado and traces of tomatoes, that for $18, too much. This is the last time I am coming here.
