Ordered chilli chicken with gravy, brought it home there is no gravy in it horrible all white rice, called got told they will talk to chef no resolution, there is 4 hakka places within a block each from there, after this quality of service and food not to return.

Recently went their , food was amazing. However, I did not like their policy at all. We were just 2 people and even then they charged 10% DINE IN GRATUITY. Also they need specify first this kind thing. I would never go there again.

Got takeout today, chili chicken was way too strong with ginger flavor , overpowering, waste of $15 . Couldn't eat it. Disappointed wouldn't go back there.

I tried this place for the first time. Food is not great and i am not please with the service. I will go to my normal hakka place burnhamthorpe and credit view place. I am not visiting this place

Prices are too high. Plus they charged 15% gratuity along with 13% gst that made our bill a lot. We are a family of 2 so even for a small family the bill was $61. Never coming back!!

I was quite surprised and disappointed to find that gratuity is automatically charged on all orders, as noted in fine print on the menu. While automatic gratuity can be acceptable when paired with attentive service, unfortunately, that was not the case here.
The service was among the poorest Iāve experienced. We had to wait an unusually long time before anyone took our order, and there was little to no follow-up for additional or repeat orders throughout the meal. It appeared that the staff were not motivated to provide quality service, perhaps due to the guaranteed gratuity.
Overall, it was a frustrating dining experience. I hope the management reconsiders their approach, especially when service standards donāt reflect the additional charges imposed on customers

Hakka Legend never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. The owner clearly cares, and it shows every time we visit.
Donāt listen to the negative reviews! They are just people mad about the gratuity for a LARGE groupāwhich is COMPLETELY standard at any decent restaurant. Trying to avoid tipping with a huge group when the service is great is just gross behavior.
We love coming here and will keep coming back. Highly recommend!

We came to Hakka Legend for a family dinner and absolutely loved it. The food was flavourful and cooked perfect. Tons of vegetarian options for my husband, which made the experience even better for all of us.
The service was good and attentive considering the place was pretty busy, and the atmosphere was very nice. Weāll definitely be coming back soon!
