Nice Casual atmosphere. Cocktails were great and fun, although a bit on the pricey side. We ordered the white fish appetizer which my girlfriend found delicious and I just thought it was missing a little something more. We ordered the trout main and the pot pie special. The pot pie was delicious, however we were disappointed with the trout, especially at that price point. The trout itself was good, and the pasta with chorizo was good, but it just didn’t work together. The pasta was too spicy and it took away from the fish. Extremely disappointed with that considering it’s also the most expensive thing on the menu. With all that said the service was fantastic. Couldn’t have had a better waitress.

Went there for a birthday dinner. The staff is efficient: with 15 people on the table, they were fast at every step. The food was A MA ZING. The portions were quite small but you can definitely be full after the meal. It's quite expensive sometimes, but the money is totally worth it. You will eat really well, I can guarantee this!! The place was cute: you can dress fancy but casual is also fine.

Overall a great experience for New Years Eve dinner. It was a set menu so only a choice between omnivore or vegetarian sets.Dishes were very tasty and nicely unique one from the next. Very much enjoyed the duck confit main. The only disappointment was the dessert. Was a shame to end on a 'meh' note with what was basically a chocolate muffin and some ice cream covered in party sprinkles.Service was well timed. Atmosphere was also simple but pleasant.

Hands down our favourite restaurant in Ottawa. We’ve eaten at 3 Michelin star places, etc, and I’d rather come here every time.To describe it - just delicious well balanced food. Consistent, never disappoints. The menu changes often and there is usually a mix of various cuisines represented. Prices are always fair. Their rotation of 4 cocktails is consistently delicious, balanced. Great wine menu. The customer service is always fantastic. Highly recommend checking it out!Only potential feedback is chairs are a bit firm for large male to sit in for 2 hours. Super small detail but would make 5.5/5 stars

Got a table at citizen and so glad we did! The dining area is intimate and well decorated. Food and service was excellent - don’t skip out on the focaccia with brown butter!

Really great ambiance. It's an intimate dining experience and the food is delicious. I wouldn't go again because of the price but it was a good experience.

The place is amazing. It is just a different level. Innovative modern presentation of classic dishes. For LA travelers it would be very similar to MB Post/Fishing with dynamite concept of two restaurants back-to-back. Small menu. Everything we tried was just perfect. The restaurant was packed on Tuesday night. Thank you!

Amazing Beer list probably over 50 + cans & bottles of micro brews and the food was top notch and affordable. You gotta try and the meatballs and the focaccia is absolutely the best I’ve ever had.
The food was probably the best we've had in Ottawa so far and our server gave us an equally stellar experience! We were at the Citizen location, will have to try town next for a different vibe, but either way, we'll definitely be back :)I know the menu changes often but would recommend the agnolotti and the farro tabbouleh!
