I went to Vespa for dinner with my wife and another couple. The service was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We had pastas and pizzas. Both winners for sure.The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy.We will definitely return again.

Staying @ friends so wanted a local restaurant we could walk to and selected Vespa as they hadn’t been yet. Food was fine, service was a bit slow. Fine for local. Wouldn’t drive out of my way for this restaurant

We live close-by and decided to give it a try after walking past numerous times. What a pleasant surprise! The wait staff were outstanding (pleasant and efficient), the food was really good (we had the fungi pizza and rose ricotta) the atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. We will be back!

Excellent local osteria with authentic Italian dishes. The pasta carbonara was just as good as what I experienced in Italy wth an egg sauce and pecorino cheese. The Vespa pizza with goats cheese and pear was unique and delicious. It’s also in my neighbourhood. I’ll be back!

Love the location and the idea of this restaurant. The wine was good.If you’re looking for a cocktail, which we were initially, I do not suggest going here. I would suggest the Belmont or Thr33 Snack Co if you’re looking for a better cocktail flavour range. The cocktail list at Vespa is VERY sweet and there isn’t much ingredient variety between the various cocktails listed.The pizza was okay. The crust was a little bit too salty, but I didn’t mind that. It did look and have the texture of being frozen. Also to note - our pizza did NOT look like some of the photos of the pizza other reviewers have had. May have been an off night.Overall I’m happy that there is an eat in restaurant in the neighbourhood, but it’s not a place I will be returning to unless changes are made. I do miss the tasty sandwiches that we used to be able to get when this was the italian grocery.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place. Great wine, great service and the owner was very nice too. We went on a saturday night on easter weekend and it was quaint and quiet. Usually quite bustling on other nights. I have some allergies and although limited options I was able to have a few things and the servers were great at accomodating me and checking ingredients. I would reccomend for anyone wanting to go for a classy dinner with wine. It has a good vibe.Dietary restrictions: I am on paleo diet with some modifications, allergies to grains, can easily do the calabrese sausage, salads and if you are okay with dairy the cheese and fruit platter is great.

Amazing experience, beautiful little spot with incredible food and outstanding service. The pizza is easily the best in Ottawa, authentic Italian style thin crust with delicious and high quality toppings. Engaging and helpful service, our waitress was attentive and had some useful suggestions for food and wine. And all at a very reasonable price, higher quality and way better value than any Italian on Preston
