This place is fantastic! We wandered in here during a walk around the neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised by everything inside. We took a few different kinds of fresh ravioli to go - AMAZING! We also had the "Friend of Ours" Panini Sandwich. It was delicious - everything from the panini to the ingredients were so fresh and hearty. You are able to add extra toppings if you would like. The gentleman that assisted us was super welcoming and very helpful with recommendations. I will definitely be back for that sandwich and more ravioli!

I picked up a lasagna and a baguette yesterday. It was delicious and the bread fresh and yummy. Happy to support local and thankful to be able to do so. Thanks!

Great coffee, biscotti, and croissants. Staff was extremely friendly as well. Fresh made pasta looked delicious but I did not try. Will be going back when in the area.

I've only been there once but the pizza was very good and the other Italian food looked good and home made. Need to get back there again. This is more of a take out place then eat in.

Delicious fresh food, friendly service and cute interior. I loved browsing all the Italian treats ? I had the Godfather panini and later I made this dish with their mushroom and leek ravioli. So good!

Wonderful spot for coffee, panini or pizza and Italian meets / pastas... highly recommend. Only thing I wish they had was wifi.

First time I went here. Super cute and convenient shopping for fresh Italian everything. Fresh dough, breads, pastas, and a great selection of Italian meats & cheeses. Opted to get a few Italian cookies, chocolates, and a macchiato to go. Yum! I'll be back and am definitely looking forward to eating fresh pasta and pasta sauce tonight :) Staff were super friendly.

Great little italian shop in Old Ottawa East. The bread is delicious, prosciutto was excellent, we all like the ravioli and the cannolis are simply awesome. Also the owner is a very nice guy and always good to chat with.

Small Italian focused grocer, they serve sandwiches, coffee and gelato as well. Pleasant music and a great space make this a good lunch destination. The sandwiches are made with fresh bread and a great mix of toppings. Service is pleasant. Looked over the grocery, clean and nicely organized. I suspect they will end up doing very well in the area. Would I return? Yes Would I recommend? Yes

We tried it out for our anniversary, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and atmosphere/service. We ordered calamari, which was amazing, the antipasto and the crème brulée which was also delicious. We will be back !!

I was there for pizza and focaccia!

I have coffee here everyday. It is awesome. The sandwiches are delicious. The take home pasta and sauces are fresh and tangy. I had pizza last week and it was hot, crisp and full of flavour.

Based on reviews I was looking forward to trying this new place. Went on Sunday. Mostly bottled and packaged products. Asked about menu. Was told a selection of sandwiches and paninis were available. Pizzas coming soon, none available on day of visit neither was focaccia bread. Bought some Portuguese buns (?) not Italian. Unfortunately some were dry. One staff was barely knowledgeable the other unfriendly. Too bad.

Mmmm the focaccia here is amazing!! The deserts are also fantastic. They've got a small grocery section, and fresh pasta. Hoping they eventually expand to have some produce. The coffee is also great!

We chose Cucina Da Vito for a family celebration and it did not disappoint. The staff was fantastic, professional and kind. All of the suggestions for food and wine were perfect. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Thank you and of course, we will be back!

I believe I had THE BEST espresso I have ever had - definitely within Ottawa and I think beyond Ottawa too. It was truly perfect. This is a great little gem in an area of Ottawa that needed just such a gem. Had a delicious sandwich too. It felt immediately comfortable (like I had always been a regular there). I loved the personality of the place. Bought some cured meats (supplier from Montreal) and they had an interesting selection of cheeses that I will try over time. This will be my go-to spot when I am in that part of town.

The lasagna I ordered was great. Wonderful layers with a great cheese, tomato sauce and meat filling. Yum.

Cute little store, authenticity owned. I am not Italian, but I’m sure the residents here in Ottawa who are would appreciate it. Got some great imported biscotti, their sandwiches were quite good as well. It’s a brand new place, so with a bit more time I think they would stack up to a place like Nicastro’s.

It's a little shop. I tried cheese ravioli and , both are good. I'm looking forward to try other things!

I can not believe to have found this focaccia right in Ottawa.

Great food, great place and nice cars to look at at a sunny day ;)

Best Focaccia on this side of the Atlantic. For a long time, I have been looking for a real focaccia , and I have found it here,. I like everything about it, flavor, texture, freshness. This place will see me coming over and over again, it's my new favorite destination for true italian flavors. The croissant ( cornetti) are also very good . Tutto molto buono!

Cute place. The pizza and hot food looked delicious. I had a sandwich but it was clear the bread was a few days as the outer layer was very hard and crumbly much more than a crusty bun should be. Also dissapointed they didn't have recycling.

We had the privilege of enjoying a great meal at your restaurant last night. Our server Matthew, was extremely patient with us as we were there to enjoy an evening of chatting, drinking and eating. He did not rush us into ordering. The drinks, appetizer, wine and meal were excellent! Thank you .. we’ll be back for sure. Joanne, Geraldine and Yvonne

Have dined here several times and not been disappointed. Excellent every time. The food, service and ambiance always great. Recommend trying the Salsiccia, Pappardelle ai Porcini, Involtini Prosciutto, & Tiramisu. Then again , I plan to return to sample the entire menu, eventually !

Best focaccia I ve ever tried since my last trip to Italy 2 years ago! This guy Vito knows what he is doing. Beautiful store!

"Best ever noodles" was my five year old's comment after one bite of their fresh pasta & sauce - and I felt the same! It was our first visit and the selection is awesome. We got the best capicola I've found in Ottawa and pecorino cheese! Prices are very reasonable too! Can't wait to sample everything else - life in Old Ottawa East just got that much better ☺️

We hadĺ a VERY good experience here this evening. Started with negroni cocktails followed by apps. Beef carpaccio and shrimp sambucca. Both tasty. Mains were veal gorgonzola and veal involtini both served with spaghetti alio olio. YUM. Had a Tuscan chianti that worked perfectly. Good service by our server Vito, good ambience at a reasonable price. Will definitely return!

First time coming here. Took my girlfriend for her Birthday and this place was amazing. Great food, great ambiance, amazing service. Not a single complaint whatsoever! Our waiter Matt was awesome, though I didn’t mention it was my girlfriend’s birthday he had probably heard me mentioning it as he passed by our table to tend another table and when our meal was done he surprised her with a piece of tiramisu and said happy birthday which was very sweet. We will DEFINITELY be coming back again!

We just had lunch at Cucina da Vito at 2701 St-Joseph in Orleans. What a great little gem in the middle of Orleans. The food was excellent and the ambiance was great. The service was impeccable and our server was very friendly and good looking too - not flirting here just stating a fact. They have a private dining area which accommodates about 16 people if anyone is looking at holding a small gathering. Their house wine was very good and their creme brulé was to die for. Definitely will go again....perhaps for dinner next time.
