I ordered takeout for my partner and I on Valentine’s Day. When I called I asked for vegetable samosas, paneer pakora, butter chicken and garlic naan.When on the phone asking for vegetable samosas the person taking my order kept repeating another dish back to me that I had never heard of. I repeated multiple times that I wasn’t interested/ didn’t know what that was and I wanted vegetable samosas. It got to the point where I said “ok” because I really didn’t understand what the issue was and the rest of my order was repeated back to me correctly. I assumed that maybe they didn’t have vegetables samoas at the time and were offering me something similar but I would clear it up when I went in to pick up my order.When I arrived I was given Pulao rice instead of vegetable samosas. I explained to the person ringing up my order that I didn’t ask for pulao rice and had asked for vegetable samosas multiple times. I tried to explain the situation and the waiter became extremely confrontational with me. He stated that this is what I asked for as he was the one who took my order and then said “ma’am you are a liar” to me in front of other customers when I tried to explain the back and forth that had gone on over the phone. When I tried to explain why I was confused he was very rude and kept cutting me off. It was really upsetting and embarrassing and I tried to approach the situation politely and remained polite the entire interaction.I eventually left with my food and was extremely flustered and upset. After arriving home to eat the food it was probably the most bland food I have ever had. There was little to no flavour in any of the dishes which was extremely disappointing because we had been recommend this place by many people in our neighbourhood who absolutely love it.

We went today before half hour for the first time, and unfortunately we ordered food from the restaurant next to them for my child, because he does not eat Indian food, and the waiter told us in a very bad attitude that it is forNot allowed to bring food from outside. I told him we already ordered for us from the restaurant but this food for my child.He could have told us in a polite way, it was bad experience that will not be repeated.

Food was not great at all.Only tandoori items are worth trying.We ordered buryani, got sick in the stomach. Ordered one of their beef specialities, too much oil and hurt burn. Complained about it on the spot, no reply from the kitchen or the management.Wanna live longer stay away from this place.

Today, I visited royal Indian cuisine restaurant. I ordered Buffet that was really delicious. Specially hot Gulab jamun, kheer, Malai kofta, naan, golgapa, ??.
I also get the chicken biryani and lamb biryani and never disappointed! Great place and great service!

The buffet has gotten worst . You have to tell them to add more Nan and curry a lot which defeats the purpose of having a buffet. We also found the food to be cold. This place use to be one of our favourites but losing its quality.
We ordered dal makhani and matar paneer and despite all the negative reviews we read, the dal makhani was extremely good. The paneer was watery and lacked flavour.

This is my new favourite go-to place for Indian food in S. Ottawa. I ordered takeout for a certain time and it was ready when I arrived, and the food was piping hot when I got home. Chana Masala, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala and Bhindi Masala were included in the order, and all were very tasty! Online ordering is very easy, and you can earn loyalty points to get discounts on orders. Bravo to the Royal team!

I ordered with spice level high. But it is was even lower than mild. The ambiance looks very poor. The toilet was not cleaned. The amount of chutney was just May be 1 table spoon per serving. Overall it is overrated and doesn’t worth.
