Burger was excellent. Gluten free burger and dedicated gluten free fryer made an exceptional lunch for our celiac son! Top notch. Great view and a nice location for a post lunch walk before getting back to the museum.

The food took a long time to arrive, and the pizza was not marked as spicy.

Went to grab a couple of things to eat and we mistakenly tought the drinks were included in the combo, after ordering we asked one of the workers if they were, he informed us it wasn’t, but still told us to grab some on the house because of the misunderstanding. 10/10 would recommend staff super nice + they put a lot of care in the customer service. Thank you!

The war museum cafe has honestly never let me down. To start, the food is clearly high quality, and it shows in both taste and looks; and after speaking to the staff members there, you can tell that the chefs put a lot of heart and passion in their work. They often have a special menu for the month or a special meal/soup of the day, which adds exciting new options for the menu.

In the service side of things, they are all very kind, friendly, and work efficiently. As for the atmosphere, it has an open space with many paintings and large windows that give a nice view of the ottawa river.

This is a nice place to check out during your visit to the war museum, highly recommend 😁

Please keep this dish on the menu, it’s delicious, it’s my third time getting it and there’s nothing to complain about. perfect everytime. Please please please, keep it on the menu!!!

The meager offerings of the chicken fingers and fries meal is meant to imitate the meal a WWI soldier might fight a rat for in the trenches of France.

Don't worry about choosing a dipping sauce...there isn't any.

Pop is $2.50 a can. No wonder we can't offer our veterans PTSD counseling when we are clearly blowing our military budget on the Vimy Cafe.

Huge disappointment. Kinda like CFRS Cornwallis in the winter.

I recently visited the Cafe at the War Museum, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! I tried their smashed burger, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve had in Ottawa. Just delicious and perfectly cooked with those crispy edges. Definitely recommend stopping by for a bite after exploring the exhibits!
