The view from the patio here is STUNNING!!! The prices of the food are astronomical though.... Even for Muskoka. In addition, the service is fine but it's not fantastic either. The food tastes okay but for the price it wasn't worth it. I recommend the view but not the restaurant.

Overpriced and underwhelming. The tacos were tasty but it’s absurd how much they are charging for the tacos and drinks. Staff was lovely though and the service was great, we were just very disappointed with the quantity of food and price point.
Terrible experience, terrible service, terrible food. This place is in the business of rips off and false hope. Struggling to hit any basics needs for a good atmosphere. Save the momments of your by avoiding this spot. Your wallet and stomach will thank you.
Hopefully you read the reviews first and don’t make the same mistake we did. For 5 of us to have some small mediocre tacos was $270 …half of us left still hungry, the margaritas are $20 for the smallest glass possible filled half way with ice. Wait the time to get into somewhere else or you’ll regret it. I get it this is a tourist place but this is beyond ridiculous. We tried to split our bill between 2 groups of people and were told it can only be 1 bill or evenly split … wild.

Tulo's is exactly what it is supposed to be. Is it expensive for what you get? Of course... you're waterfront dining in Port Carling, Ontario in the summer. The food is good, the place is fun, the staff is great, and you're going to spend some $$$. And you can easily spend a lot more for lunch or dinner in Muskoka.

We were a little scared to try this place because of the previous reviews, but it's a good heads up. And the nachos and dips did not disappoint: Housemade, decent portion for an appetizer to share between 4, and the dips were amazing (especially the refried beans!) Some vegan options on the menu but we didn't do a full meal. For a drink and a couple snack, remember that prices are just high in port Carling, and you pay for the view too! Would definitely come back

I wish I had read all of the terrible reviews before dining here! I’ll sound like a broken record but, here we go. Subpar tacos that hardly had any filling that were tiny and way overpriced. Cocktails at astronomical prices that were served in small tumblers that were filled with 90% ice. Before we had even sat down and looked at a menu, a waitress said something about chips and salsa for the table and took off to grab it - it was only later that we saw it in the menu as an appetizer for a staggering $24. We thought that surely since every table seemed to have them and since most Mexican restaurants provide them complimentary, it must be a lunch deal. It was not. We had lunch for three - two Coronas, two margaritas/ice chips, six small tacos and the unsolicited chips topped off with taxes and an 18% tip for a grand total of just under $200 or nearly $60 EACH. We ate dinner cheaper at Turtle Jacks with three full entrees (including a half rack of ribs), a beer and two 12oz wines! Rip off! Do NOT recommend!!!

The pricing at the place is rediculous. Up sell up sell up sell. The food is way overpriced and it’s honestly not very good. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I won’t go back. The waiter was good he was a nice young man but as far as Mexican restaurants go this is likely the worst I have been too.

We’ve been a few times over the past 4 years. Awesome location, food and service are decent. But the margaritas are a rip-off. The cheapest version is $19.50 (my wife’s watermelon version was $23) and comes in a small glass filled half with ice and absolutely no discernible tequila. When I asked for a better one with less ice I was served one with more mix.
$230 for four margaritas, two Modelo’s, ceviche and three fish tacos. Not much value for money, especially for the margaritas!

Incredibly overpriced; no part of our experience was “worth it”. No AC so all table options were uncomfortable; tables peeling so they feel sticky and dirty; and server was overtly upselling at every turn.
The food was ok, but nothing special. Tacos were $10 for single tortilla mini’s - they all tasted the same. Watermelon & feta salad was mostly slimy arugula.
Minimum $22 for a cocktail & cheapest beer (yellow water) for $10.
Wouldn’t recommend!

Great food, loved the fish taco. Clearly taking advantage of people with the prices. Disgusting how much they charge!
Mixed drinks starting at $20. $50 for five coronas.

What a disappointment. $10+ for one bite-sized taco. If you run out of salsa for your chips, you’ll be whacked another $10 for 2 ounces of chopped tomatoes. Drinks are next-level expensive. Pretty spot on the water but not a great experience.
