Good Luck Chinese Restaurant

Pros: 2nd best Hot and Sour soup in Toronto, great pagodas. Rest is all above average.
Cons: Could get pricey, customer support is a problem sometimes (language barrier).

Overall, the food is worth the visit here, a hidden gem in Scarborough

Terrible service. Came in 30 minutes after opening and there were still old plates from the night before. I feel disgusted eating here. Lady at the front desk is rude.

Gross. $32 for 2 small orders and a coke. Dirty. How does this pass food safety?

We have been coming to this restaurant for 30 years. Since the change in staffing, we have been looking for alternative. We have checked all Hakka restaurants in the area and none matches Peter's cooking. Place is not really inviting for dine in, so we will continue using it as a take out. The food today was fresh, tasty and portions are humonguous. They used to use paper containers, which I preferred to the current plastic.

This place should be closed down, the Quality of food is absolutely unbelievable. The lady is nice and friendly but she seems to not have all her marbles. But that food was bad, I'm still in shock.

I paid for a daily special that never arrived. In asking for a time estimate this server held a piece of paper above her head, and didn't even relay any type of response.

This place is really consistent, everything I have ordered so far has been really good tasting.

i made huge mistake going to this place even after reading other people review. wrong order, bad preparation, too spicy . we didn’t even eat second spoon of our meal . guys try to stay away from this place if you are looking for Hakka style meals - one of the worst place to eat

Omg there was rats running around in the washroom , it smelt like rat piss and I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like

I feel so sad to provide a negative review for this place. I have been coming here for 20+ years. Like all businesses, this one suffered through COVID. As a result, the owner let go of a few staff. The staff that was left over did not like the fact that others were let go, so they left too, leaving the owner to run this place on his own. Overwhelmed, he brought his wife in to help him. While he worked in the kitchen, his wife handled the order taking (in person and over the phone). The owner was always fixing her mistakes and quality of food went down. She does not speak a word of english and always made mistakes with the orders. She also turned this restaurant into some sort of a shrine. Since 2022, this place has gone down the drain. They used to make the BEST chili chicken I have had in Toronto. Its sad to see this happen to this place. I am also sad to say that I am done with this place. Never going to go back. Good luck to the owner.

I have been going to this place for a while but last time i visited here my experience was not that good. I ordered egg fried rice and their chili chicken with gravy. But they brought dry chili chicken instead when I asked them about it they just took it and pour some gravy on top of the plate and the fried rice doesn't had any any veggies at all it was like their normal white rice mixed with some egg and chicken was too salty. Their chili chicken was so good before I don't know what happened.

I go to order and the first thing I see is that nobody is at the table. I had to call a few times for them to even come. The next con was that as the food was given, we had to ask for utensils, plates, even the simplest things like salt and pepper. And even though we asked, we only received the things after 30 minutes. Absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t recommend coming to this place at all.
