I had a very disappointing experience at Caribbean Queen. The food was well below average—overly salty with no real flavour, and it didn’t taste fresh. On top of that, the employees had a terrible attitude, which made the visit even worse. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.
Food is always really good

Kudos to Caribbean Queen when it comes to their food and prices! I have yet to see a West Indian food joint that not only serves delicious meals but also prices their meals under six bucks! Unheard of!
I remember $4.99 lunch special price from 25 years ago! It's rare to see that now! I typically order the Jerk Chicken special, and it has yet to disappoint! The portion is decent, and the meal price cannot be beat!
The staff there too are pleasant and welcoming!
Check them out if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed!

It is so nice to be able to have a Jamaican restaurant with affordable prices and the food taste great. It’s in a convenient location close to schools as well as residential areas. I will definitely be back.
Parking: Horrible parking lot but great food

If I order a large jerk chicken and fried chicken, please do not give me 4 chicken legs. Just tell me you only have legs then I can decide. Waste of money.
Thank you
Walked in and was greeted with a smile and a hello. I was shocked and excited that this would be a good experience. I was wrong. I was standing directly in front of the server when I attempted to order the oxtail dinner. The server doesn't acknowledge the order or look in my direction. She starts writing something and continues to ignore me. I stand thete for a full 30 seconds before walking out. Fyi, she probably did me a favour since the location had a slight smell of sewage, and there were large flies flying around.

Small portions, mid food
Chef, I’ll remove this if the review is addressed—since when we met, you did ask to reach out to you directly if there was an issue; however, I lost the flyer given to me as well as your number and this was given a year ago.
With that said, I visited the location at Weston Road and I was not impressed. This was the second time I’m having a meal from here. The first was over 3 years ago and I had the jerk pork, I was not impressed. Before I continue, let’s talk about when we met. A little over a year ago, you catered a funeral reception for my great aunt who had passed. I had the curry goat and I had the fried chicken and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Flash forward to today, like I said above, I visited the Weston Road and Finch location and while I can say the fried chicken was just ok, nothing compared to what I had at the reception. I didn’t like the curry goat and it’s nothing compared to what I had at the reception. The curry didn’t look…..and perhaps I’m eating with my eyes….but I was thinking it didn’t look or taste like Betapac curry, but maybe I’m wrong, it could be because I was looking at the colour a lot. In addition, I tried the Weston Road and Lawrence location a few weeks ago and I remember telling my friend, it doesn’t taste as good as the one from the reception, but I can tell they are following the same procedure, but of course the chef didn’t do this one or over see this one—I did think it was much better than todays Weston Road and Lawrence. Also, when I say Chef, I mean the Owner.
