Definitely a really nice place, service, and wine. But the music was really bad, it didn’t meet the ambience and the chic taste of the bar … the dj didn’t meet the vibe …

Beautiful place, the tea room’s interior is just so quaint! Loved the aesthetic of the place and the music too. Food and tea where beautifully presented good choice as well.

Stopped by for a quick shot…or two after dinner before bed at the Fairmont Royal York, and was pleasantly surprised by being seated quickly at the bar, spoke to a gentleman whom was a little surprised that I was in and out in under 15 minutes. But quality tequila over quantity is definitely an option here. Patron A served, and was served with a smile.Only thing I felt out of place for was the gentleman discussing what seemed like a first date next to me in aspirations about getting into the FBI and how his date would be a stay at home Mom. Kind of felt like I was in the wrong environment or time period for 2024. But the other gentleman beside me was easy to have a brief conversation with, while enjoying watching them make other people’s drinks.

Very much enjoyed it, but would point out a couple of issues, which were immediately addressed to our satisfaction. The scones are small. Don't be alarmed. This tea is heavy on the sandwiches and desserts. There is more than enough food, and it's really good. At this price point and at such a grand old hotel, I would have expected real Devon clotted cream for the scones. It isn't. It's vanilla whipped cream. There was a service issue with the scones. The jam, whipped cream and butter were provided without utensils to use to put them on the scones. We ended up using our main knives for the butter, and the tea spoons (thankfully we don't take milk or sugar in our tea) for the jam and cream. Similar issue with one of the desserts on the tea tower - needed a spoon to eat that we had to ask for. Overall, though, it was a great experience and nice venue, and the food was great. The mimosas are also amazing - made with Veuve Cliquot champagne and fresh-squeezed orange juice - yummy!

Way too expensive for a high tea $95, most average food, never again. Didn’t even give us fresh tea and kicked us out after 1.5hours. Run for the hills guys.

My friend and I have a cherished annual tradition of indulging in high tea, and this year, we decided to try ClockWork. Unfortunately, our visit left us profoundly disappointed. The tea selection was extremely limited, failing to impress even the most discerning tea lovers. Furthermore, the quality of the food fell FAR short of our expectations. The sandwiches and bread were the opposite of fresh. Even as someone who typically enjoys desserts, I found the cookies stale and the lemon tart nearly unpalatable.Equally disheartening was the lack of attentive service. Throughout our meal, no staff member offered to take our coats, and we were left parched as water was not served at any point during our lunch. We received minimal attention from the staff, with only two brief check-ins over the course of a two-hour period, during which we were never asked about our satisfaction with the high tea experience. For those seeking an authentic high tea experience, I would recommend exploring alternatives such as the Ritz, where expectations of upscale elegance and indulgence are actually met.On a separate note, the cramped seating arrangement at ClockWork was another notable drawback. Our dining experience was further marred by the family beside us engaging in disruptive activities, such as loud FaceTime conversations detailing their meal experiences (with multiple people). Despite the evident disturbance caused to multiple guests, the lack of intervention from the staff was disappointing.

We booked clockwork for high tea for a birthday celebration and we were all very impressed - - the atmosphere, food, and service were amazing - - we had a very good time. Extra bonus points as one of our party is vegan and Clockwork delivers a full high tea experience - scones, sandwiches, desserts; all fully vegan so very, very well done to them on that. It's a bit on the pricier side for high tea in the city but well worth it and a recommended overall experience! Will definitely book high tea here again.

Absolutely amazing repeat visit to Clockwork! The service is top top notch and the food amazing. We ordered from the vegan menu and every single thing was amazing, and we didn't feel like we were missing out on a traditional high tea experience. The ambience is also outstanding, serene, comfortable, and uplifting. Thank you!

Everything was great however, the prices have gone up significantly for high tea and for valet parking. I think valet parking should be compt at least if we're spending over $100 for high tea.
Went there for afternoon tea. the start was promising with fresh scones that were good but just that and served with butter and whipped cream. from there it went downhill, the breads were dry and half stale. The deserts were kind of OK. Overall , the experience was more appropriate for $30pp but definitely not for $95pp. On the bright side, the service was very good.

Everything about the experience is amazing! A lot of detail is taken into the service and the ambience. The art deco interior of the lounge complements the high tea experience and makes it very memorable!

We were there to celebrate a 50th birthday and was a new experience for all 3 of us. How do you go wrong with the Royal York?? Grandeur at its best and yet so comfortable. The High Tea was excellent. Tried a new tea (Ontario Icewine tea), delicious! The sandwiches were wonderful (although the chicken & fois gros was not my thing). The desserts were scrumptious. And the service was outstanding experience will will remember and cherish for a long time.

The food at this restaurant was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect for a mid-afternoon work meeting. The service was outstanding and made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this place for both business and casual dining.
