The owner/bartender/cook is one of the nicest people you will meet in Toronto. Always friendly with a smile on her face. We had the veggie platter which was amazing. Very nice Eritrean music as well. Highly recommended hidden gem

Great spot! I’ve eaten here many times — the food is always delicious and nicely presented. The customer service is excellent, with friendly staff and a great vibe thanks to the music. Only downside is parking can be tough since the street is usually busy. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful lunch at Hwunet! We walked in off the street, not knowing what to expect. I originally thought it was Ethiopian, but it was Eritrean, and so delicious! We had one of the lamb dishes in a wonderful sauce, with onions, peppers and served on injera bread. Our server was very friendly, and actually brought us a complimentary side dish. I'll definitely return to Hwunet the next time I'm in the area!
