This place has some of the best Japanese food I've had outside Japan. Everything was fresh and tasty. Prices are great for the quality. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. It wasn't quiet, but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't use normal conversation volume to talk. My only problem was trying to decide what of my many options to get. Even my 6 year old had plenty of things off the kids menu and appetizer menu she wanted to try. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.Parking: Shared lot for a bunch of little stores and restaurants. Even when places are busy there's always some parking.Kid-friendliness: They do have high chairs. The kids menu, appetizer menu, and yakitori menu are of comparable price for the amount of food so there's plenty of variety my kid could choose from.

Not family/kids friendly. Kids order cucumber and avocado rolls, they didn't come after 35 minutes. Other two orders also took about 30+ minutes.We also ordered tea, it never come but showed on the bill.

My go-to sushi place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fun decor for record lovers. My husband doesn't care for Japanese food but loves the beef bulgogi. Fresh, tasty sushi. Delicious tempura. Excellent saki selection. Definitely check them out. Closed Mondays.Vegetarian options: It's a fish place. Aside from salad or miso soup, I don't think there much for the vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: They do have a small kids menu. Otherwise, they have plenty kids would like. Try the corn with mozzarella cheese. It's crazy good! And monkey balls for the mushroom lovers. Crispy and mild.Wheelchair accessibility: All tables with chairs, easily accommodate wheelchairs.
Good value. Sashimi quality was okay. Tempura was great and crunchy! ? The katsu was good portion and rolls were big. We ordered two lunch combos and a roll and it was too much for us. Miso soup was nice and hot and salad was good.

Hostess said takeout orders were a 35 minute wait. Ended up waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes for my order. Food was mostly cold by the time I got the order without an apology. Such a disappointing experience and I won’t be going back.

I had taken my dad here and hadn't informed him on how big the specialized rolls were, he joked about having lunch for the next day to enough.Shoten has a variety of food for you to enjoy, even if you dont eat fish, want something warmer or colder you can get soup or a specialized salad. If you want to have good sushi that is priced fairly well and doesn't disappoint on portion sizes, Shoten Dining is your place.Vegetarian options: There is options clearly labeled for people who don't or cant eat fish. You always have a choice while coming here.Dietary restrictions: Food is labeled with ingredients and workers are more than open to mention if something has and ingredient in it you cannot have.

Coming to this restaurant reminds me of Japan. I recommend the bento box. You can choose from two different main menus. The most popular menu item is sashimi. You can choose another dish depending on your mood of the day. Anyway, I love this restaurant because of the great value for money.
