Quaint old style diner. Hasn't changed in twenty years and doesn't need to. Great food, great service, super fun owner. Highly accommodating for dietary preferences and needs, while remaining old fashioned All-American.
Hella good BLT on sourdough with a huge side of crispy, perfectly salted tots. They even have freshly brewed tea - not the easiest to find in these parts. Fast, efficient service. Husband thought his burger was the best burger he has had here in OR. Definitely recommend.
One word, fantastic. We stopped on our way back to Portland to grab breakfast, the owner was really nice and friendly. The service was fast and efficient, there is choice for everyone and every taste. The food was great the breakfast sandwich was amazing, the coffee really good. The decor was actually quite funny and it added to the ambiance. So yes definitely do stop and eat there, a nice address to keep in mind!( and yes we are the french one with the accent )
It was one of the best Cafes I've been to. I love the small friendly business. The food was home cooked and delicious. Scrambled eggs tasted like they used real butter. The biscuits were so light and fluffy! The waiter was a great guy always kept my coffee cup full.
When I travel I try as hard as possible to partake of the "mom and pop" local Cafe. This did not disappoint in any way. They were very accepting of my very necessary ESA dog, the service was great., the food wonderful, and the prices quite reasonable. This is a gem in this town and our party is grateful for having found this place. It comes from me (and Izzy) highly recommended. Stop and enjoy
Stopped here on our way home from Crater Lake. A great little down home diner. Cute decor and the owner/server was very friendly. Good eggs, husband had the chicken fried steak and he savored every bite.
Great diner in a tiny town, perfect stop on a road trip. Good coffee. I ordered a standard breakfast, but the bacon was outstanding. If you are a bacon fan it's not to be missed.
Great service great food old fashioned place really clean
We stopped in for lunch on our road trip from crater lake to Eugene. When we walked in we noticed the eclectic decorations and were immediately greeted by the staff. The food came quickly and it was fine. I would stop here on another road trip if needed, but the food wasn't anything to write home about.
The old woman working at 1030 on Wednesday August 3rd was so incredibly rude. She did not acknowledge we entered, she ignored us, then when I asked to be seated she said she’ll get to me when she has a clean table. The place was EMPTY with a few dirty tables. She was so awful we left, I rather eat ANYWHERE else than to give this place money. Don’t waste your time on extremely poor and rude service. At least say “I’ll be right with you”. She’s well into her 60s and still doesn’t know how to treat people, guess that’s why she works there
Heidi D......you seem to have made several judgements about my cafe in the whole 2 minutes you were there. Let me clear a few things up.....I am the owner , yes the woman you called old and rude , i was CLEARLY helping other guests when you came in, or maybe you didnt see the 12 people paying at the register as you entered the cafe, oh wait you must have because you plowed through them to interupt me during a transaction to scream at me that you wanted to be seated . You didnt bother to take a second to see that there was no other staff on the floor, if there had been, the tables would have been cleaned and you would have been seated right away. I am guessing that you have never worked a hard day in your life and us low life waiters and waitresses who apparently aren't smart enough to get REAL JOBS are only here to serve your needs because obiviously the "Please WAIT to be seated" sign doesnt apply to you, it must be for everyone else.. I say this on behalf of all the servers out there .....keep your money...Those of us showing up every day to work when so many don't, really dont want or need your "spoiled its all about me attiude " .
1800 miles into our cross country road trip, and this was easily the beat breakfast we had so far. Small family owned place, nothing fancy, but the food was very well prepared. Seems like only two people, cook and server...but they did everything possible to keep up and keep patrons informed of timing. Thoroughly enjoyed my omelette with kielbasa, onion and kielbasa...and the hash browns were fresh and browned to perfection. Hubby had eggs over easy with kielbasa and hash browns. Very well fed and ready for our long hike in Crater Lake Natl Park.
Rude owner A bitter malcontent runs the place. Unfortunately, he won't shut up about it and you have to listen to his bile while eating your meal. Understaffed because "nobody wants to work anymore"? Probably because he's a pill to work for and won't pay a proper wage. Insulting the intelligence of Californians while the only PAYING CUSTOMERS in the joint were Californians? D**** Also: don't be fooled by the sign: it's definitely NOT under new management.

Rude owner - food standard. When will restaurants realise that customers really are doing you a favour by choosing to eat at your establishment. It's not my fault you are short staffed - but if you are open then I can reasonably assume you will be able to provide me with some food - with grace. I won't be back .
