I ordered the steak ranchero, worst steak ever. It states on house menu sauteed in bell pepper y tomato. It was tough as leather. The flautas were good and chili rellenos were good. But there was one couple in restaurant. I wont be back maybe someone can recommend a better option with some consticency.

Went here like four years ago the food was awful, the drinks tasted terrible and the server was rude.Decided to give them another go last night. Nothing has changed. All the drinks our table ordered were mixed improperly and awful. The only one of us that sent their drink back clearly made the server upset like he took it personally. The chile verde that I ordered came from a can. It was extremely salty. The tortillas were the best things I ate and those probably came from the Albertsons nearby. I finished my dinner and immediately started feeling sick. I paid 70 dollars with tip to be sick all night and half of today. I would give zero stars if I could.Don't eat here. Save your money and just hang out by your toilet all night for free.

I've never been so furious. After going to this restaurant for 10 years I feel like I've been taken advantage of by the staff. I ordered a shot of vodka and the waiter refused to tell me the price before hand. He made some very creepy comments like "don't get drunk, you're too pretty", he made comments about stealing my money too in the name of Christmas since it's "time to spend" His ACTUAL words. I was pretty upset when I got charged $13 for a single shot of bottom shelf vodka, but I'm so furious because I didn't expect his thiefing joke to be serious. I paid with cash and put the last bit of the amount on a card. The charge on the card went from $4.60 to $12.60. Where the **** did the extra $8 come from? Awful. 0/5 stars if I could. I'm currently disputing the transaction with my bank and I will never eat here again.

Way too expensive, ordered the deluxe enchilada, it was dry, raw tortilla with little or no sauce and it cost extra to get beans OR rice.

As a former Californian, I like that I can scratch my itch for Mexican food here. The drinks are good too, and every time I've been here I feel like the staff genuinely care about the customers.

Service was great, and the food is fantastic. Some of the best tamales I’ve had. And Mario makes the best drinks.

Used to be SO good, but the last few times I've been in (every since they were closed for COVID?) it is much more commercial, bland and not how they used to be. It's definitely not authentic Mexican food anymore. It used to be what you would find in LaPaz or La Ribera where my mom lives. It used to be flavorful and actually authentic with flavorful peppers and cilantro and other delicious spices. Now it's so bland! Very sad. Not to mention the portions are smaller and cost more. And unlike actual Mexican restaurants in Mexico, they rush you. It's so annoying! Bringing the check before anyone around the table finished their meal and tried to take my dad's plate when he was not done! Those last 2 bites or 3 bites are paid for! I'm so disappointed. Been there a few times this year hoping for the magic of their food before they changed it, but it's not happening. The guacamole isnt even good anymore, more tomatillos than avocado or something. Definitely more tomatillos than jalapeno peppers in the salsa Verde too. Plain. Also to top it off, the chips and salsa seem extra spicy less tomato/salsa tastes. Seems like it's for the sole purpose of you not eating a lot since they are free. And they arent as generous with their portions anymore either!! The chimochangas are about 75% the size they were before. Anf they don't fry them long enough. More like a burrito.Even the cups for soda and iced tea are smaller. Why did you do this El charro? You were my favorite, now you're worse than a taco bell! They are least have more flavor anyway! Go back to the old way of, things!!! Please! I miss the chili rellanno being made with poblano peppers, too. They used Anaheim last time. Not authentic at all. Poblano peppers are from Mexico. You are a Mexican restaurant. Maybe I'm spoiled now that I know what the cuisine at my mom's place is like. You used to be like that. I mean, La Paz has the best backyard restaurants! True authentic. Not more spendy, just better recipes. What happened?? So sad. Gotta find a better authentic place i guess. Go back to the old ways, El charro!! Do it! You'll do much better! I miss your pre COVID everything!Vegetarian options: None, they cook it all on same place. You'll get meat grease on it. Careful if you're gluten or dairy free too. They don't have anything actually on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Not so much. But if they like grilled cheese I'm sure that's good.Parking: In a grocery store parking lot. Next to an Albertsons and postal service/mailbox place. Lots of parking, might be a little walk but usually find something close. Like 50 yards at the most. Usually more like 25.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.nor the best seating but you can get in there with room.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free or dairy free cheese or vegan anything and don't ask because it is not cooked separate. Even if they say it can be. You will still get meat grease on it. They don't pretend to be able to guarantee it, so that's good. Hate places like that!

Ate here with my aunt, food was delicious and service was pretty spectacular, however, the *married with children* waiter kept trying to find excuses to go home with my elderly aunt, and that really gave me some bad vibes.Overall, good food, uncomfortable interaction with staff.
