Alison was a huge help when I was ordering coffee. I have no idea about coffee and I am over whelmed when thinking about all the different types. I told Alison a few key points that I liked and asked her to surprise me with a creation. She asked me a few more questions to pin point what I liked which as she was super personable. What she had created for me is out of this world delicious !! 10 Stars

I loved the breakfast bowl with roasted potatoes, carrots, kale and a poached egg. The savory hand pie was flakey and delicious. Staff was friendly and food and coffee was served very fast despite being fairly busy.

Nice atmosphere and prices are affordable. I recommend the breakfast bowl, it totally changes my perception on veggies in breakfast. Coffee tastes the way that it should and was fresh as can be. Free postcards to your loved ones is a plus!

All the tables were dirty. They said they could make a chai latte when in fact it was just a chai. I ordered a cookie and they forgot about it. Pretty bad overall experience.

Located in the new section of Fifth Street Marketplace, (right in front of The Gordon Hotel) Magpie is a new coffeehouse that has a clean, modern vibe with hard surfaces, cement floors and lots of light. This is not a quaint cozy coffeehouse with wood counters and tables, like the name might conjure up, but it is surprisingly welcoming because of the friendly servers, vibrant sounds of coffee brewing and milk steamers going. I had one of the chicken tarragon hand pies, which was very tasty and flaky. I was still hungry, 'tho. My friend had the egg sandwich, which came out as a yellow egg square surrounded mostly by bread. She said it was, "ok." Frankly, by appearance it looked a little strange and bare on the white plate it was served on. A few slices of fruit or garnish would have made it look more appetizing. My other friend ordered the wisest choice, (breakfast bowl), which looked the heartiest and most delicious of the three. Hers also came with a biscuit. She loved it. We met for breakfast and were all pretty hungry. I was disappointed that there weren't more choices: i.e. egg dishes with protein, potatoes, etc... The coffees were delicious. My favorite thing was the chocolate peanut butter mini pie that we all had a tiny piece of. It was super yummy, and I'd go back just for that...or to try another one of their pies. For breakfast...not likely, unless they expand their menu. For coffee and a baked treat, I'd give this place 5 stars.

I really liked the overall ambiance of this shop. The employees were really kind and the food was good. I wasn't a big fan of the amount of pork in the gravy but that's definitely a personal preference. The rest of the biscuits and gravy were good, as well as the pumpkin pie. However, I do think the pie crust was a bit hard to get through. The vanilla latte was also very good. I'd eat here again when in town!

Magpie Coffeeshop always has a tasty treat that I must have. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie is Peanut Butter Mousse on a Graham Cracker Crust topped with Dark Chocolate Ganache with a swirl of Buttercream and Candied Peanuts. This pie is luscious and one of my favorites. The Biscuits are square-shaped and truly delicious. We love to spread homemade Pimento Cheese on them. We appreciate that you are offered jam when you order Biscuits to go. The staff are nice and get your order ready quickly.

Definitely better food than coffee. Not a lot of seating but that's okay. Service was also kind of lacking. It looked cute so we tried it. Probably won't be back but it has potential | Overall 2.7/5

Second time visiting, the young girl helping me was super friendly and suggested a drink to try based on my order. I ended up trying it and loved it! I also ordered a Turkey sandwich which was delicious. Cute little coffee shop and I love that you can send free postcards to someone. The coffee is Provision's blend which is soo good. I definitely will be back again soon!

This is a great spot to enjoy a drink while experiencing the 5th Street Public Market. Stop in for a snack or drinks. The coffee is pretty good and they make a decent chai tea latte.
