Grabbed a couple of fantastic beers to complement the great gnocchi from the affiliated Chubby Duck food truck. Fantastic server with scalp tats made us feel so welcome. Enjoyed a poignant chat about the late, great Ziggy Stardust. If you’re traveling between Bend and Crater Lake, be sure to make a point of stopping here in the town of La Pine.

Friendly and welcoming folks serving up great craft cocktails and draft beers. Nice patio with adjacent food and ice cream trucks. Enjoyed a Lavender Fizz made with their plum vodka.

What an awesome gem in La Pine! I can’t believe it took me so long to discover the food options and super cute courtyard here. We’ve gone there many times to buy their Badlands Rye Whiskey, which is top notch and we love to give it as a gift to say, “here’s something from our home town.”This weekend my wife suggested we stop over there before heading up to East Lake, and we had a super delicious bagel and coffees from Badlands and also grabbed some of the best omelettes I’ve ever had at the Chubby Duck food truck at Badlands. Our kids ate them up quick, and that says A LOT.Such a great find in La Pine. Thank you for being here :)

The breakfast here is delicious (we had the club special and turkey, egg & cheese breakfast bagel) and the boozy coffees (we had chaiskey & the Irish coffee) are amazing! Both of the food trucks are good. We come here for breakfast and dinner all the time. Chubby Duck is probably our favorite place to eat in La Pine & all of central Oregon. It’s a must try!

The lavender fizz is amazing. The gin-garita is not. It's nothing like a margarita. Their sign says it's just lime, cucumber lime and hot honey but yet it's red and tastes like almost like a bloody mary.Update: they were amazing and without even asking they brought me another lavender fizz. Amazing.

Every time I have gone out to eat for the last month I have left the restaurant disappointed and wishing I had just made dinner at home. It would have been cheaper, taste better and be overall more pleasant if I had. Well I am happy to report that the "trend of regrets" has ended today! Badlands Distillery was charming, had great service, provided delicious fresh food and an ambiance I wish I could duplicate in my own home. They have these beautiful live edge wood tables that are truly a work of art. The tiles on the ceiling are brilliant. Even the bathrooms are well done! The staff was excellent: Super fun, attentive, thoughtful and passionate. The menu is simple and basic, but everything we ordered we loved. Warm ciabatta sandwiches where the bread actually tasted like it was baked during this decade and a kale salad with all the right toppings. Sounds like a $22 sandwich kinda place doesn't it? Nope! Super reasonable. I definitely didn't leave thinking it would be cheaper to make at home myself. Nor would it have tasted better or been overall more pleasant. Worth it!!

Such a cool, high quality, and beautifully intentionally designed spot! From the antler-handles to the designs in the bathrooms, this place has IT. You must stop here for BOTH food and a bevy. I highly recommend any bagel sandwich and the whiskey. We will be back for the whiskey because they were out when we visited.

Tasty well balanced unique crafted award winning spirits, very thoughtfully crafted cocktails with house made syrups made from the heart. We enjoyed stopping on our way home from Southern Oregon. My 71yo mom enjoyed the rye old fashioned, so much so she had 2 and was ready for a 3rd but we bought a bottle of their rye to take home instead! Also nabbed their plum vodka and cucumber gin which we look forward to adding to our home bar.

Amazing service (inside) and also from food truck. Our pasta was AMAZING!!! The atmosphere was very nice, beautiful and clean. Wish I didn't live 3 hrs away so I could come more often.

The only place in to LaPine to stop for coffee. Make sure to try the cardamon latte or some straight up espresso. Great service at the coffee bar or make your way to the cocktail bar! Good food with food trucks also in the back. If you want smooth coffee with the right proportions of milk and foam for whatever you order, this is the place!
