Guess Who

The owner was super nice. And for it to be a small town this is honestly the best place to be the residents are nice. Yeah some can be a little... not to friendly but besides that the showers were always hot and even know some people don't know how to clean up after them selfs that dosen't reflect the owner as I was cleaning the bath every time I use it shower or not just out of respect for the man who let us stay here. He's got a lot on his plate as once person so just let him know and he'll do what ever you need to make your stay better. BEST PLACE IN LA PINE.Thank you sir for your amazing hospitalityWe will continue to stay here on our next trip outHave a wonderful year ✨️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Nearby activities: You are surrounded by mountains there is always something to do here.Go to the skate parkgo to the ski resortYou are plenty of mountains to choose fromSafety: For a small town it's pretty safe the residents are very kindWalkability: Everything in walking distance the stores the restaurants everything it's just one big amazing adventure everything is literally 4 to 5 minutes walkNoteworthy details: No matter where you go I'm sure you can always Find something to complain about. However for only having a few people around this place is and always will be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Don't sweat the small stuff

Not a bad place to stay. But the meth heads that hang around there make it uncomfortable. It's too bad but I will never stay there again. I'm not ok with tweekers knocking on my door late in the evening to get thier cigarette lit.

Rooms are dirty. Especially the ac units. Dust everywhere. Even the headboard. Carpet was dirty too. Super friendly, great location, ok price.

Oct. 13, 2023. My girlfriend and I arrived in La Pine, OR at 10:30 pm and stayed at this cute little family-owned Motel. The owner accommodated us coming in so late and our stay was very comfortable. What made our stay memorable was watching the Annular Solar Eclipse the following morning right there in front of our room. Special thanks to the owner(s) for providing the special solar sunglasses.

4 stars only because the bedspread was stained and should not have been on the bed. Otherwise everything was better than expected.

Forever and always highly recommended. Great all around. One of the reasons I come in from the woods.

Best place in town. The owners treat you like family. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and I'm really picky.

I have stayed at all the local hotels and motels in LaPine, we have also stayed in the cabins at the State Park and many AirBnBs/VBRO rentals. By far, dollar for dollar, Highlander is the best low cost, lodging option in LaPine. Building is old, but very clean, heater was a bit loud, but the bed was very comfortable with extra pillows provided, the shower was hot and had great pressure. Did I say it was CLEAN? Linens and towels were spotless. Attention paid to small details like in room coffee and snack, extra rags for spills or accidents. Small in room fridge freezer and microwave worked great, TV had ample channel options with Direct TV. If you are looking for a 5-star, spotless carpet, butler experience go somewhere else: if you want clean, comfort to rest your head this is the place.

The room was tiny, the carpet dirty and the tv only had one station. $80 for this room felt way too expensive. The night time attendent was very nice and efficient however.

Shower doesn’t drain AC is on its last leg Beds were lumpier than tapioca pudding. Brought it up to the staff in the morning and his comment, “what else is new”. Stay away!!!

Amazing people. They let a friend of mine stay in a room for 30 min to stay warm while waiting for a ride. No charge, just them being nice! It's rare to find that kind of generosity. Kudos to you!!!
