This is one of those reliable, reasonably priced, delightful places to dine. Service was the best. Recommendations were appreciated with spot on wine pairings. The cacio pepe was delicious!! As was the rock fish & broccolini. I enjoy the mushroom bruschetta every time. It is my favorite. Aria gin Martini was perfect. All desserts were great. We tried 4. The pot de cream really shown. Only negative was the bread. Maybe stale. Or maybe just not the best. Hard with little flavor. But otherwise, wonderful!!

Great service, setting, and food. Lasagna was spectacular. Just gotta keep the bread coming, especially when something is saucy. At times I felt they would bus the table a bit early (still was currently using bread to soak up the sauce and a hand pops in asking if I was done.....ahhhh no, clearly using it). Food tho (and I'm not a pasta person however I am a barba mingo person

We really like this place however I wish it was a little more gracious.. Seems rushed and hurried.. The prices are not cheap, food is good but not outstanding. will certainly go back but would not mske it first choice

We've been coming here ever since they opened, we always come to celebrate our birthdays, tonight's dinner was for my son... Food was good as always, but ordered the hanger steak as an entree and it came with 4 small pieces of perfectly cooked steak over a bed of greens... it really should be listed as an appetizer... Also, although our server was good there was no mention to wish him a happy birthday, not a big deal but it would've been nice as our reservations stated that... Oh well, we will still return as we love it.

One of the very best restaurants in Portland. The food and service excel. I appreciate that the have at least three tables with comfortable chairs which is rare in Portland where restaurant seating is usually a torture experience. I may be mistaken but the lasagna recipe seem changed. I think it had a bit too much sauce.

We had such a lovely experience here for our anniversary. The owner greeted us at the door and seated us at a cozy table. Our server was knowledgable and friendly. Food came out very quickly and was delicious! My only complaint was my fish entree was quite bland. All our other courses were divine, so I just savored those more. My husband got the rabbit and loved it. We'll be back. Such a nice spot for a date!

One of the best restaurants in Portland. From the appetizer to the salad to the main course, each item we ordered was a delight. This place is a must-try for out-of-towners and Portland foodies alike.

This is always a favorite of ours - a perfect spot in our NW neighborhood. The food is always incredible (especially the lasagna) and service can't be beat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian meal in

This is my second time here. The first time the food and the service was wonderful. This time was the opposite. The bar tender was great. They had run out of several dishes. The ravioli tasted lile it came from a can and the meatballs tasted frozen and lacked flavor. Also, the portions were very small. I want to love it here, but they need to step it up.

Best Italian in Portland. Awesome staff, food and selection of wines by the glass. Delicious red sauce on anything. Lots of rotating salad and entree specials. Love the fresh bread and olive oil. Smart choice for date night. Can't wait to return next week. Say hello to Gino when you go. Chow. ?

This place does pasta right every time. There is rarely a miss. The wine list is fantastic and generally a good value. The same people have been taking care of me there for years. Seasoned professionals from front to back. Without a doubt, my go-to Italian in Portland.

Have a great dinner there all the food we ordered was great. Service was attentive but not overbearing, and when the check came, I felt it was a fair tally for what we had ordered. We didn't try dessert, but the pastas were good and meatballs were tasty. The special goat cheese salad with Delicata squash was incredible.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here last night. As expected, we had a wonderful experience. Michael Cronin, the owner is a fabulous host and always makes you feel welcome as if you are entering his home. The restaurant itself, is casually elegant with tasteful touches throughout. No matter what you choose to enjoy, whether food or wine, you will have a delightful experience and be back for more!

We've been here a few times and it has been universally great. Its foods are unique: beet salad with cara cara oranges, coniglio, papardelle cooked al dente in a rich wild boar sauce. I'm a good cook and try to duplicate the recipes at home....they're difficult. The staff has the perfect level of attention, there when you need them but not in your face. They pitch in and help each other so even of it's not their table they'll notice something and come help without being asked.

When we arrived for our 6:30 pm reservation we were told there'd be a short wait for a table. This happens often at restaurants, so we were not disturbed. Then we were offered a glass of wine while we waited - which we accepted happily. We sat and waited and then the gentlemen brought us a small tidbit to have while we waited. The entire situation was handled with grace. And the wait turned out to be only about 10 or so minutes. The meal was delicious - as it has been in the past. We always enjoy our meals there and will definitely continue to go.
