Hands down the BEST vegetarian option in Portland. I have been eating at Divine Cafe since Rose opened her first cart downtown on 9th and Alder. Many of my friends and colleagues are regulars, both at the cart and for catering... it is always amazing!

This place got me hooked when the friendly cart lady offered me a yummy soup sample. The menu is simple and they mainly offer sandwiches and salads with different kinds of vegetarian meats. I ordered the Killer Quesadillas and it had warm gooey cheese in a crispy soft tortilla, perfectly done. I would have liked to see a little more spinach and less cheese but overall it was very tasty.

I tried this place one time & have been wanting their Tempeh Reuben ever since. However, they're never open! Their hours are posted but they're never open when they should be. Disappointed.

Rose has the most amazing food! I literally dream about it for weeks afterwards! She catered a huge party for me recently at p:ear and did an amazing job. It was for over 100 people, and only high compliments were given about the food and the whole party was a huge success. There was something for everyone, and it was the freshest food I have ever had at a catered event. If you need to cater a holiday or any event I highly recommend her! She is the easiest and most helpful person to work with, and you will please just about everyone because the food is so healthy and matches just about any diet!

Rose's soups are to die for and I am only hoping that she will start selling them in local stores :)

The Divine Cafe is located in the East parking lot of NCNM. The staff is incredibly friendly and there's tons of seating around the stand since it's a hangout spot for the students. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I often get the tacos, the hefty quesadilla, dahl with fresh veggies or huge portion of stir fry. They always have very creative specials, I'm always impressed. I'm waiting for the tuna melt with pears to come back and I want it to be a regular item! They also offer kambucha, various breakfast items, pastries and DragonFly Chai. They have a ton of options. The pulled pork sandwich is a little too small for me to order again, but really good. I hope one day they get their tempeh reuben back on the menu -- it was amazing! Price-wise, it's a bit spendy for a food cart, but you know why because the ingredients are of higher quality than your typical food cart. I know the owner has made trips to the local farmer's market for ingredients (loved when brussel sprouts were in season!) and always goes for a local flair. They're very attentive to any dietary needs, so don't be afraid to inquire about how they can accommodate. They are open around the college's school schedule, so that means they're closed during the summer and winter break. Check the school's calendar since Divine Cafe's hours coincide.
